the #healthandsocialcare crisis is real. This week I have experienced it first hand. I have a strong team of 5 permanent staff who know me well
this week almost half of these staff either have #COVID19 . or have left due to wanting to change careers due to there being limited opportunities to progress.
This has left me in such a difficult position, I have to say my care company and the managers have been truly fantastic and have still provided me with, unconditional support compassion, understanding and have included me in every aspect of sorting out emergency staff cover.
At one point we were close to having my parents come over to support me but we managed to source extra staff. but this has led to lots of changes which I find difficult
I have had to meet and get to know new staff members at short notice but despite this, I have to reiterate how amazing everyone has been in this situation and how much I still feel cared for.
So I guess I just want to put it out there, from first-hand #experience how this current #socialcare crisis has affected me and is affecting all those who need support.
