On Pakistan’s national security policy wrt India:
1- Blames India for impeding connectivity in the subcontinent
2- It wants to challenge India declaring itself as a net security provider
3- Accuses India & genocide in Kashmir.continue to support (= terrorism)
1/
4- Wants to improve relations with India with “Just and peaceful” resolution of Kashmir at its core
6- Calls “Hindutva” it’s security threat
7- Concerned about India’s military modernisation, getting nuke exception.
2/
It wants to “reimagine” its relations with Russia which it sees as growing rapidly. Largely, the doc focus is on its economy.
I have seen reports in India about Pak wanting peace, change in stance etc. There is nothing beyond what Pak has not said over the years. So yawn🥱
3/3
Pak is rattled with India’s sustained diplomacy which is hurting it’s economy. It doesn’t say it directly, but it shows in the doc by talking about “disinformation campaign to hurt its image” and the need to counter.
4/
Pakistan now gets it that economy is key. Zulfi wanted to eat grass & fight India for 1000 years. The doc stresses on using Pak’s “prized location” to improve its economy.
India obviously should make sure that it keeps the heat on. Because a Pak with money = nuisance for India
5/5
Another thing that Pak talks about in its security policy is internal cohesion. Its policies led to radicalisation, sectarianism is rife.

Internal cohesion is a key element for economic prosperity. India did that post Independence with its diverse population. It shouldn’t change
Pak security policy is not a peace proposal to India. But to strengthen itself to fight India better. Also helps with perception management 🎯 West which sees it negatively, but important for it for $$. Focus on economics, connectivity etc. Appear rational & peace loving.

7/
In 2020, Pak sent a “peace proposal” to India, a new map.
Claiming more than just Kashmir and an open ended border.

Just like Chinese claim maps even if laughable, shows their revisionist mindset & intent.

So pls don’t get carried away with non existent “peace proposal”.

Bhishma says in his instructions to Yudhishthira that whatever creates conflict is Adharma, and whatever puts an end to conflict and brings about unity and harmony is Dharma.... punarnava.org/dharma.php

2n ...Anything that helps to unite all and develop pure divine love and universal brotherhood, is Dharma. Anything that creates discord, split and disharmony and foments hatred, is Adharma....
3n Dharma brings as its consequence happiness, both in this world and in the next. Dharma is the means of preserving ones self. If you transgress it, it will kill you. If you protect it, it will protect you. It is your sole companion after death. It is the sole refuge of humanity

I sent some samples of some products to Australia against payment via courier. Got notice from bank that this payment needs corresponding customs shipping bill. I have none.Possible scrutiny later, all for a small amount. Fix our laws, rather get rid of useless laws & regulations
Was having lunch with my clearing agent. He talked about a couple of cases -
- Garment export.
1- Customs chaps think it’s their birthright to pick up stuff they like.
2-Accuse of inflating invoice value to get drawback-time+$+₹ lost
India’s garments export have shrunk BTW
1/2
Another case-an exporter didn’t apply for LUT, paid full GST & didn’t apply for drawback. Customs said they suspect something wrong because the exporter didn’t apply for LUT & drawback.🤷‍♂️

How will India ever get into the shelves of supermarkets in every country like this?

At least 30% kirana shops in Mumbai alone are on the verge of closure. More than 50,000 small sweet shops, those selling plastics, toys, bags and other small items have already vanished in parts of Karnataka deccanherald.com/business/econo…
Only 7% of the 7 crore small businesses are able to obtain finance from banks and other financial institutions, while the rest 93% traders are dependent upon informal source like family and friends to meet their financial requirements. deccanherald.com/business/econo…
A point that I’ve repeatedly raised for several years. Demo hit this section of business owners the most. They never figure in any gvt plan on supporting biz. And this sector gets tax terrored the most as well as they are small & vulnerable.

Trust me, this is not new.
A few years ago, my supplier in Taiwan made business cards and couriered me, about 300 of it. I was made to pay customs on it. About ₹1000. Cost of making cards in India is ₹1 each.

And I don’t want to get started on my regular commercial shipments.
My supplier sends compliments in my shipment. For them its as a matter of routine, but ends up costing me in delayed clearance & ₹ as customs want invoice & packing list for it. And also a share of the compliments, or all of it 🤷‍♂️.
I requested my supplier to stop sending
And this rubs off in policy making too. GST is applicable on free samples and free services. Like banks have to charge 18% on free services on a deemed value 😂😂

No import means no foreign design and only indigenous designed, developed & manufactured products or it also includes foreign products manf in India? If former, do we have indigenous capabilities for all weapons in the list, In the latter, it’s buy & make as per existing DPP.
We have to fix the DPSUs & OFBs which stand to gain - their quality, delivery time, maintenance, or our operational readiness will be impacted. Some of the products which pvt sector already has like light & towed Howitzers, AFVs is welcome. Order in numbers. Encourage pvt sector
If this list includes foreign weapons to be manufactured in India as it seems, there can be a situation were you foreign company willing to manf in India, take away order from Indian design & developed weapon. Eg Light & Towed Howitzers.
