Correction. 1963 interview. Kennedy was still President.

Dr. King called out then-President Kennedy for "hedging" on civil rights legislation, suggesting he did not want to cross the powerful Southern Congressmen, some of whom held critical committee positions .

"Northern" cities raised. Susskind asked if tensions were less in the North than the South. Re Washington DC and Detroit, Dr. King warned about potential explosions of violence if things did not improve (circa 1963).

Dr. King on question of personal danger:

We go on knowing our action is in line with that which is morally right (despite continued and growing death threats)(paraphrased). 🙏
