Listening to the hypocrite Dixiecrat @LeaderMcConnell on his high horse scolding Democrats for trying to stop state Republicans from all-but barring mail-in balloting and legislating intimidating or even arresting voters they don’t like & flipping election outcomes is sickening.
Mitch giddily “broke” the Senate to pack the Supreme Court with his far right ideological allies. He walks around wearing an invisible Superman cape, claiming to be for voting rights and faking outrage over Bull Connor comparisons while grinning in front of a confederate flag.
He moans about Biden’s words being divisive while continuing to excuse the most vile president in U.S. history declaring fellow Americans to be enemies of the people and fomenting a literal insurrection. Perhaps Mitch hopes to benefit from the next attempted coup.

Thanks for the honest response! So here’s the thing-the vast majority of vaxxed people if they get COVID are NOT winding up in the hospital. It’s the UNVACCINATED who are clogging up the ICUs/taking all the beds. Also smokers, drinkers etc are made to pay more/wait more for care.
Insurance companies financially penalize smokers with higher rates. People are asked to disclose STD status when receiving healthcare, and because donor livers are scarce, alcoholics must adhere to behavioral changes to qualify for transplants. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P… Image
So again the question is, why shouldn’t hospitals and insurance companies and employers (who fund most of our insurance) make the exact same scarcity calculations with people who refuse to prevent COVID, yet are overwhelming our healthcare system “just because they can?”

Let me tell you how GANGSTER Republicans are. They're like ... you can vote, nonwhite people and white, urban liberals. But we're gonna make it so hard for you to register, you might just give up. And if you STILL manage to register? We'll make you stand in mile-long lines... 1/
And make no mistake, standing in mile-long lines is the ONLY way we're going to let you vote, while we engineer short lines and allow absentee ballots for OUR voters. And when you're in line? We're gonna make it ILLEGAL for anyone to even give you WATER. That's gangsterism. 2/
And if you manage to get through that? And your candidate beats our candidate? We're just gonna reverse the outcome of the election, so we win anyway. It's so thuggish, it should have been invented by the mafia! 3/

The radicalization is real and has been gradually increasing, long before Trump came along.
And the potential scenarios aren’t good… here’s just one of them. Note that all of them presage an increase in right wing and/or state violence…

So you’re saying cancel our annual screenings for breast cancer, colon cancer, and regular preventive care checkups in general? And folks should just “what me worry” on diabetes, HIV, heart disease and the rest and just “live their lives” like yayyy… I’m only sick when I’m ER’d?
As my friend @MichaelRajner recently pointed out, Florida’s health department literally operates a program called “test and treat” to reduce the incidence of HIV, including in those who may not even feel sick. This is sound public policy. broward.floridahealth.gov/programs-and-s…
When I work out of 30 Rock in NYC I and everyone else in the crew and talent test 3 times a week to ensure we’re not contagious with COVID, so we can protect our coworkers and their families. Presumably @RonDeSantisFL and his weird Surgeon General Adapo think that’s dumb.

No matter how hard @RonDeSantisFL and his friends in right wing media try to spin it, missing is missing. And no one has explained where he was for some two weeks in December while COVID ravaged Florida and testing was near impossible to access.
And Ron on Monday finally held a press conference in which he discussed the fact that accompanied his wife to chemotherapy on December 29th. Kudos to him for that. 🙏🏿 But what about December 19-28? And where is the testing?? Oh right… Ladapo thinks testing’s nutty.🤪
