A secret buried in the family. There was this famous writer who died in 1940s. He was my mother's brother-in-law. After marriage, his in-laws funded his law education and there, he loved a girl there. Forgot the name. The name of that girl starts with S.
Because Hindu marriage doesn't accept multiple marriages, he converted to Islam and married her. His brothers and sisters didn't accept that marriage stand by his original wife and eject him out of the house. They reconciled a decade or so later and I never heard of any friction
between the two women after that. Another fact not known outside the family - his first wife's brother is the traditional trustee of one of the main temples in India - it is reputed that the Lord came in the dream of one of the family members in 1800s and
asked them to dig at that place to reveal the idol. That's another thing not commonly known - that temple is only 150-200 years old. Another brother of her's was a noted Professor in one of the front ranking universities in India. Sorry, no names please. This is all family lore.
