#ChandrababuNaidu was a huge admirer of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao’s (NTR) films & adored him as a person. When he was minister for cinematography, Naidu met NTR’s son N. Jaykrishna (noted cinematographer) & sought to set up meeting with his fav actor.

His fanboy dream came true when #ChandrababuNaidu met his future father-in-law on sets of NTR's movie 'Anuraga Devatha' when #Sridevi & NTR were shooting a wedding scene. NTR watched Naidu walking towards him & after shoot, chatted with him for an hour.

#ChandrababuNaidu and NTR shared a warm camaraderie after the first meeting. Their mutual admiration grew gradually. During the meetings, #NTR often made it evident that he admired #CBN's commitment to work.

The Marriage Proposal

One day, Jaykrishna met #ChandrababuNaidu, put forward #NTR’s msg of wedding proposal to latter, with his one his daughters, Bhuvaneswari. #CBN was surprised at the proposal, took 6 days to think about it & then informed his family.

Then, #ChandrababuNaidu went to #NTR’s house to see his daughter, Bhuvaneswari, who he was to marry. The extremely affectionate man that NTR is, he garlanded his future son-in-law while the latter felt embarrassed at such a grand gesture.

#NTR decided with #CBN's family that the wedding would be held in Madras (now Chennai), which was the hub of Telugu & Tamil film industry. The grand wedding saw big stars like #MGR and others, including big politicians & CMs from #South.

The crowd was so uncontrollable that #ChandrababuNaidu’s father Kharjura Naidu got pushed in the milieu. #NTR observed this, apologised to Kharjura Naidu and brought him back to the dais. That also reflects how the majestic NTR also had a big heart & empathy.

After #TDP was formed in 1982 & it won election next yr with #NTR as CM, #ChandrababuNaidu lost the election as Cong leader. #CBN decided to leave politics & went to Tirupati to set up a business. But, #NTR wanted him to join the party.
