I along with my family tested positive for covid, it didn’t took long for the @UPGovt to take the proactive measure. The officials called us several times, visited our place, tested us & gave us covid drug kit! This is such a great service to the public @myogiadityanath 🙏 (1/n)

This is really a great initiative and concern shown by the govt, never have I imagined before that I would see such a positive change in UP healthcare system. @myogiadityanath Ji you have done outstanding work as a leader of UP!

It may not look like a very big thing for people like me who could afford there tests & medications, but, this is really a boon for the section of the society who might not be able to afford the cost of test and medications! Take a bow @UPGovt @BJP4India 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I received an overwhelming response to my tweet from several parts of the world. Thanks! I can only add to the better news that we are now covid negative. I fully acknowledge the benefits of early treatment we received at the onset of the infection. Further sharing my experience:

1. My mother first showed the symptoms, we immediately took a private lab RTPCR test.
2. Upon confirmation of the positive test results of my mother, the govt officials contacted us & tested my family. Which confirmed my father and mine positivity. The tests were free of cost.

3. Soon after the tests, the govt doctor contacted us and enquired about our oxygen levels (we had Oxymeter) and also about underlying condition of any family members.
4. Upon confirmation that only my mother was diabetic, the doctors enquired about her sugar levels.

5. Our covid drug kit were delivered to us. The officials requested us to isolate and contact them if we would need any emergency support. A dedicated number was also provided.
6. This followed by routine calls from @CMOfficeUP covid command center to check our health conditions.

7. Along with the regular calls, I also received call from an audit team who also enquired about our health and asked for confirmation if the govt team reached out to us within 48 hours of our positive reports.
8. I also contacted covid helpline to do our retest after 10 days.

I again thanks the @UPGovt and CM @myogiadityanath for such proactive arrangements. For sure, this will help bringing down the #covid surge in the state and save many lives. I request all fellow citizens to support the govt and follow the guidelines! Mask up and get vaccinated.🙏

To people who came forward with the situations in their countries, it is indeed concerning, I wish for your good health. As my doc said, self care can help save you from infections - masking up, washing hands, vaccines and vitamins for immunity can be your shield.

To people (in India) who came back with their empty minded vile comments (specially the political ones), I can only feel sorry for you & I wish you a good health! Good governance must be appreciated and I’m glad I decided to share my experience, it only busted ur false narrative!

I also interestingly saw people asking about #Ayurveda remedies. Well yes, we did take some of those (I do not claim them as a cure to covid) but the homemade #Kadha (ayurvedic potions) did soothe my throat (I had a severe dry cough). These are century old Indian household wisdom
