They lied and said cases were going up but not hospitalizations, then that hospitalizations were going up but it was people w Covid not from Covid, then that those in hospitals were less sick, all while refusing to take steps to “flatten the curve” or slow the spread
They’ve pretended long Covid doesn’t exist, and because the CDC director is incompetent she let it slip early when she said it was “good news” that a large portion of those hospitalized were people w multiple comorbidities which is a fancy way of saying the elderly/old/disabled
Now that they are expecting the omicron wave to peak in the next week or two, in the Northeast at least, they’re letting the mask slip a bit more and basically admitting that they were trying for a Barrington deceleration style culling of the herd and the truly absurd part is
That aside from being incredibly unethical, essentially increasing the short term sickness and even death in the country, and that’s not even taking long Covid into account, their plan isn’t going to work as they are pretending a new Covid mutation isn’t all but inevitable
Fauci himself is aware that a new mutation is likely, as is evident by the quote from him in the first tweet of this thread, but I guess they decided since it’s just “likely” and not certain, let’s give it a try. Just monstrous actions from all involved

I should add that Ari Melber, who I always find seems to get in clips on his show that none of the other shows use even if he is pushing the same narrative outwardly, had the clip of Fauci saying the comment that started this whole thread and it wasn’t any better than it reads
He used air quotes around the term “live virus vaccination” but it didn’t change what he was saying other than implying it’s not the exact phrasing he would use
