The U.S. military is built to do many things. Probably the best capability they have is to fight head to head against Russian armor and air formations. But for some reason the Russians made us think they would invade the US.

I thought President Biden provided a calm and honest appraisal of where we are. The media seemed eager to front load questions with their opinions and at the end of the day, at least Biden is not a brokeass casino owner grifting suckers and selling merch.
The techie nerd guy in me thought his audio sucked. That didn't help. The mics might have been out of polarity. The vibe was bureaucratic, respectful and thoughtful. The press seems imprinted by abusive press conferences... could have dialed it back a bit.
Sad to hear about the childlike resistance the GOP provides to create a sense of adversity. Even the Democrats are seeing the advantage of being holdouts. They look good in their home constituencies. As a taxpayer I would like to do a Three Stooges and get these people in sync.
