#STATEMENT: From the Yemeni Media Union & the Yemeni Ministry of Information to the free people of the world:
1) "The Yemeni people have been exposed to horrific massacres committed by the Saudi-Emirati-American aggression against civilians, as the aggression deliberately cut off the internet and communications through the bombardment of the only window to the world wide web, affecting-
2) the entirety of the Republic of Yemen.

The current scene in #Yemen is beyond tragic, as the crimes continue to mount. It is a massacre, a crime, a major sin committed against a defenseless people by the Saudi-American-Emirati aggression.
3) The Yemeni Media Union and the Yemeni Ministry of Information are broadcasting this communication while the massacres by the coalition continue, in light of an unprecedented fuel crisis that has existed for an entire month, a near-total disruption of traffic -
4) and most service facilities, to such an extent that hospitals, health and service centers, and government facilities are suffering severely. Ambulances and health personnel are threatened daily to stop their work due to the lack of fuel-
5) that is needed for ambulances to function, all whilst the aggression deliberately cuts off the internet, doubling the crimes and the tragedies, and forcing Yemen into complete isolation from its surroundings.
6) Media professionals and the Ministry of Information in Sanaa appeal to all free people to stand with the Yemeni people against their aggressors, and not allow Yemen to be isolated in the media, as current crimes are being covered up on a grandiose scale.
7) Have you heard of any condemnations of these current massacres against our people, whose victims within less than a week exceeded up to three hundred martyrs and wounded, and have you heard any condemnations from the international community against the executioner-
8) who are neglecting the right of our free people to defend itself? The ambulances carrying the wounded may stop at any moment as a result of the lack of fuel. Hundreds of martyrs and wounded, and thirty million Yemenis isolated from the world.
9) We hope that the aggression does not succeed in concealing its crimes, and we hope there won't be an absence of images of the victims from within the global media, after their crime of shutting down our internet connection.
10) We renew our call for the widest campaign of solidarity in the face of the largest massacre committed with the support of the international community, which only does what American wants and dictates.
11) The Media Union and the Ministry of Information salute all media professionals, journalists all free people of the world and all manifestations of solidarity with the Yemeni people, and we affirm that we will spare no effort to break this criminal attack -
12) launched by the Coalition of aggression against the Yemeni people, and we call upon the relevant institutions to condemn and reject these horrific crimes. We stress the importance of confronting these violations by all means and by all accounts."
13) Joint Statement issued by the Yemeni Media Union & the Yemeni Ministry of Information,

Saturday, January 22nd,
2022AD

At around 22:50 Sana'a time, the entire country of #Yemen went dark. Saudi bombardment of Hodeidah had left 4 children killed, up to 20 injured and the headquarters of YemenNet destroyed.

YemenNet supplies the entire country of 29 million people with internet access.
Six hours later, and #Yemen is still without internet access, and thus incapable of communicating with the world. For the Yemenis, the internet is a vital and important tool to communicate the crimes committed against its people to the outside world.
A few hours ago, we heard from credible sources that Sana'a, Yemen's capital, was under heavy bombardment with multiple casualties, and that a detention centre in Yemen's northern province of Saadah had been targeted. Deliberately, as always.

We have recently conducted a questionnaire, to which we ask locals in Yemen three questions:

1• Why are you against aggression?
2• How did it affect you?
3• Why do you support the defensive armed struggle against aggression?

The following are their answers.

#Yemen Image
"I am against aggression because their aggression attacked a sovereign state, and their brutal and unjust aggression killed, displaced, destroyed, shed blood, besieged our people and plundered Yemen’s wealth."

- Mohammad,
Civil engineer, Sana'a Image
"It is logical for any person to refuse an attack against him and his homeland. Also, the history of the Saudi Kingdom is known for violating the sovereignty of Yemen for decades."

Data transmission manager, Yemen Mobile Image

Yesterday at 8pm Sana'a time, the spokesperson of the Yemeni Armed Forces Yahya Sare'e revealed previously-undisclosed documents that details Israel's heavy involvement in Yemen's internal affairs.

In this thread, we are going to explain each revealed document:
Document 1: The National Security Agency of Yemen filed the visit of then-advisor to the Israeli FM Bruce Kashdan on July 14th 2007.

During his short stay, Bruce Kashdan met with several officials of the former Saleh-regime. ImageImage
The now disclosed document also further states that Kashdan's 2007 visit was the second visit after 2005. The document also details that the visit of Kashdan came on the invitation of the Saleh-regime in collaboration with the Emirati-regime. Image

"The September 21st Revolution is here to stay, and the hopes of our dear people were accelerated with it". Image
The September 21st Revolution was characterized by being a patriotic face and hand, patriotism of leadership and decision-making. No one from outside Yemen was part of it or had any say in its decision". Image

To all our new followers: Greetings! We hope our current & future content will benefit your path to knowledge on the Yemeni people's struggle. First of, here's a quick introductory thread explaining who we are, what we do and whom we "support" - so to speak: Image
The Yemen Solidarity Council, previously known as the International Solidarity Committee with Yemen, is a non-profit advocacy & consultation organisation established between western activists & Yemeni diplomats, as a way to expand global knowledge on the cause.
We work as a third-party intermediary for organisations of interest or public personas if they want to get in touch with local Yemeni authorities, we produce multimedia content to explain the viewpoint of the Yemeni majority and a lot more.

By majority decision, the Yemen Solidarity Council has decided to award @TheGrayzoneNews with our Certificate of Appreciation.

The work of the Grayzone is fundamental to understand the dynamics of Empire's aspirations in West Asia & the Arab world in particular. Image
Choosing the Grayzone as a recipient was fairly easy. Their reporting on Yemen has been phenomenal, especially in telling the narrative that is so easily forgotten in the corporate press: That the Yemeni people are fighting a national liberation struggle against occupation.
The global public opinion & corporate coverage on Yemen has been tainted with bloody Saudi petrodollars.

"Rebels" and "terrorists" are just some of the labels used to describe those resisting aggression.

Grayzone exists to challenge those narratives.
