She may not be able to be primaried until 2024, but Kyrsten Sinema’s political career ended Wednesday, January 19th, 2022.
For the “she doesn’t care” people, I know that she doesn’t care. That’s not the point. If she was capable of caring, the filibuster would be gone and we’d have voting rights protections; Roe would be codified; Build Back Better would be passed; the child tax credit extended, etc.
Not everything I tweet about people is going to be something they’re unaware of or emotionally impacted by. In this case, Sinema likely knows her career in politics is over and doesn’t seem to care at all. It’s still worth saying. And expanding our majority to make her irrelevant
Now if you want to talk about WHY she doesn’t seem to care and HOW she can be so indifferent to having her legacy potentially be the last nail in the coffin of American democracy, then yes, I’d love to talk about those things because they’re fascinating despite being infuriating.
