There have been 9 law enforcement officers murdered in the #Houston #HarrisCounty area since September of 2019.

September 27, 2019: Deputy Sheriff Dhaliwal murdered. Suspect Robert Solis has a trial set for September 2022.
December 7, 2019: Houston Police Sergeant Brewster murdered. Arturo Solis pleaded guilty and received life without parole.
December 10, 2019: Nassau Bay Sergeant Kaila Sullivan murdered. Suspect Tavores Henderson’s case is pending. Bond set at $2m.
October 16, 2020: Houston Fire Investigator Lemuel “DJ” Bruce murdered. Suspect Joshua Delacerda died by suicide.
October 20, 2020: Houston Police Sergeant Harold Lloyd Preston murdered. Suspect Elmer Manzano is in federal custody, no bond set.
Nov. 9, 2020: Houston Police Sergeant Sean Sebastian Rios murdered. Suspect Robert Soliz was released on a $500k bond on March 16, 2021. 11/2/21 bond was revoked and raised to a new $500k bond which was made on 11/5/21. Suspect committed new violations and no has bond denied.
September 202, 2021: Houston Police officer William Jeffrey murdered. Suspect Deon Ledet killed by police in self defense.
October 16, 2021: Deputy Sheriff Kareem Atkins murdered. Suspect Edde Miller has not had a bond set.
January 23, 2021: Corporal Charles Galloway of Harris County Constable Precinct 5. Suspect unknown.
Prior to September of 2019, it had been 10 years since Houston Police Henry Canales had been killed in a gunfight in June, 2009.
According to data from the state of Texas, crime in Harris County was on the rise in 2019 prior to the COVID 19 pandemic. That year also, the county began to revamp the criminal justice system.

To note: the Consent Decree accepted by the Democrat majority on the Harris County Commissioners Court in the federal ODonnell case has governed misdemeanor bail and mandated county certain county expenditures since November of 2019...

Harris County District Attorney says the suspect identified and charged is Oscar Rosales. Suspect is at large. Two of Rosales' family members have been charged with tampering with evidence.
Constable Ted Heap: We will not stop until this individual is apprehended.
Also Crime Stoppers Houston and partners are offering $60k reward for information.
