The unvaccinated school children aged 5-9 have also seen the highest ever rates of Covid-19 in #Bournemouth #Christchurch & #Poole.

Ages 10-14 are partially vaccinated, but there has been a recent uptick in positive cases. My son's school in #Bournemouth have advised parents that masks will continue to be worn despite new Government guidelines./3

A short🧵on case rates in our unvaccinated children in England.

Case rates for the under 9s are now at their highest ever during this whole pandemic.

Looking at ages 0-4:-

In the week to 25 Dec '21 there were 11,957 cases.
In the week to 19 Jan '22 there were 29,882 cases./1
In #England, cases rates in ages 5-9 are the highest ever.

In the week to 25 Dec '21 there were 30.668 cases.
In the week to 19 Jan '22 there were 84,383 cases.

and in #England in ages 10-14, some of whom will be vaccinated, case rates are at 1,909.7 per 100k, not far off the highest of 1,926.7 on 19 Oct '21.

In the week to 25 Dec '21 there were 40.681 cases.
In the week to 19 Jan '22 there were 65,608 cases.

Cases of #coronavirus in #London are⬆️25% in a week, but the breakdown by age shows the highest rises in younger un-boostered ages #Omicron:-

Age 20-24⬆️62% to 2,610
Age 25-29⬆️50% to 3,918

Published 11 Dec data up to 6 Dec (cases⬆️6% since then)

Average 7 Day Case Rate in BCP Council area is🔼to 84 cases per day, equivalent to level of 18 Dec.

For comparison, the Case Rate on 1 Sep 2020 was 5.1 cases per day.

Average 7 Day Case Rate in Dorset Council area is🔼to 46 cases per day, equivalent to level of 19 Dec.

For comparison, the Case Rate on 1 Sep 2020 was 1.5 cases per day.
