2/6 Age - The first Punycodes were created in 2011 on the Namecoin blockchain (the same chain as the Twitter Eggs).
With only 85 created in 2011 (see chart for numbers by year)π₯

3/6 On-Chain - Punycodes are special because this was the first instance we know of where visual assets - art, symbols, emojis, and text - were encoded onto a blockchain.
This was done using a language aptly named "Punycode" to store the images (example attached)
