1/ THREAD on Asian identity politics and why its claims are bullshit. Recently with "stop Asian hate" on the left and claims that Asians are oppressed by AA and CRT, there appears to have been a rise in Asian identity politics in the USA
2/ I decided to look at some of the grievances of the Azn identity politics people by reading through the subreddit r/Aznidentity. This subreddit is more vitriolic than the mainstream, as shown below, but a lot of the claims are repeated by mainstream asian identity activists.
3/ As @RichardHanania has noted, mainstream azn activism tends to skew very female, but this subreddit is a more aggressive masculine take on Asian activism. Heres a leftist slate article about it. slate.com/technology/202…
4/ Anyways, the asian activists complain endlessly about white racism, the truth is they have an in-group preference, while whites don't: ljzigerell.com/?p=9002
5/ Asian activists often complain about being bullied as kids, but Asians the are least likely to be bullied "Fewer Asian-American students (17 percent) reported being bullied at school than did any other ethnic groups." apa.org/pi/oema/resour…
6/ They complain about white male fetishization of Asian women, but white men mostly find white women most attractive. Asian women being more likely to date out is driven by Asian female preferences: web.archive.org/web/2010011805…
7/ Also many Asian activists complain that this supposed fetishization causes AW to be a unique risk of sexual violence, but AW appear to be least likely to be raped (7% vs 18% for white and 18% for black) endsexualviolence.org/where_we_stand…
8/ I remember in the aftermath of the Spa shootings a NYT article reluctantly admitted this after laying it on thick about fetishization, but I can't find the article.
9/ Also, theres this supposed statistic that the AZN identity people go apeshit over, that a third of rapes in Korea are due to white men, turns out the source is one anecdotal report for one rape crisis center in Seoul: gordsellar.com/2017/03/29/kat…
10/ We hear complaints about white supremacist violence against asians, but in 2018 there was more Asian on white violence than vice-versa (78,790 vs. 43,917) Though this data is estimated by survey.
11/ Also despite the stereotype of the white male mass shooter, (which the aznidentity people frequently throw around) Asians appear to be more likely to be mass shooters. crimeresearch.org/2018/11/the-ra…
12/ Here we can see a top post celebrating a mass shooter who killed whites, u/hirudin does a great job standing up to the "self-defense" bullshit in the comments. reddit.com/r/aznidentity/…
13/ Another claim often made is that Asians make less money than whites when controlling for education, as made by Tim Wise in this article: medium.com/our-human-fami…
14/ But this shouldn't be a surprise because at every level of education, Asians do worse than whites on objective measures of skills: ideasanddata.wordpress.com/2020/06/03/ame…
15/ Theres also the claim that Asians are uniquely harmed by affirmative action. It's probably somewhat true at the highest levels. But if you looked at admission to the top 200 colleges solely on test scores the Asian percentage would decrease slightly.
16/ @Sean__Last looks at a bunch of studies that try to quantify this and finds that some studies show AA harming Asians, particularly those looking at med school and some helping Asians particularly those looking at law school ideasanddata.wordpress.com/2020/06/03/ame…
17/ Also as @ScottMGreer points out many AA programs simply split between whites and non-whites and Asians obviously benefit from those.
18/ And many Asian activists use the same logic of AA in areas they don't excel. When they are overrepresented it is due to merit, but when they are underrepresented in management positions, or perform poorly on Harvards personality score it must be discrimination.
19/ Heres a prominent Asian activist whining that Asians are underrepresented at Facebook leadership roles, using the disparity=discrimination argument he claims to be against when discussing other minorities. quillette.com/2021/07/21/sil…
20/ There could be plenty of valid reasons that Asians are underrepresented in management. As @akarlin0 points out Asians are underrepresented in voluntary activities that seem to suggest high openness. unz.com/akarlin/salon-…
21/ There is a large population that is susceptible to these grievance narrative, most Asians think there is at least some discrimination against them, think whites are responsible, and think that their identity is very important to them.
22/ Already we have seen a retaliatory attempted rape for supposed anti-Asian crimes, asian-dawn.com/2021/04/11/in-…
23/ This thread is certainly not meant to demonize Asians, but I think that anti-white Asian identity politics is based on lies. They aren't the "model minority", they've used other minority grievance groups as a model.
24/ If you think Ive misrepresented anything, please correct, im perfectly willing to accept I might not be looking at the full context surrounding something.

I was completely wrong about Destiny sperging out. Some random thoughts on things discussed in the debate:
1/ Was wondering if Sean Changed his position on diversity and social cohesion since he brought it up in the intro ideasanddata.wordpress.com/2018/08/06/eth…
2/ Destiny says it's crazy to think that America might restrict some nationalities and not others. Well right now, Americas opinions of immigrants varies based on where they are from so it isn't that crazy to me. Though this was from a few years ago...

1/ I think that the Bush era was the golden age of race relations in the US (sorry Kanye) Image
2/ As Sean Last points out the trend for whites to have more favorable views of blacks actually took place in the 1990s and culminated in the mid 2000s. ideasanddata.wordpress.com/2019/08/18/how… Image
3/ If you look at the deadliest race riots there seems to be a gap during the Bush era ideasanddata.wordpress.com/2019/08/10/on-… Image

My pet theory about what explains the immolation of America is the invention of television and later social media.
As Eric Kauffman describes in his book, the rise and fall of Anglo-America the amount of households with television grew pretty rapidly. Image
This gave a the cosmopolitan elites a voice in almost every American's home Image

1/ Thread about how what happened in Charlottesville was probably not an intentional attack. I know this was common knowledge on rw twitter a while ago but the Charlottesville civil trial is happening soon so thought I would remind everyone. This is not meant to glorify JAF.
2/ To set the scene, Fields was forced to turn left onto a one way road, that is blocked by two cars. He backs up before eventually driving forward into the crowd killing Heather Heyer. Many people dubbed this a terrorist attack, but there are many facts the put that in doubt.
3/ First of all he wasn't going very fast. According to Wikipedia, "The speed was estimated between 23–28 miles per hour" If he was planning to kill people, he would probably be going faster than a speed at which someone who was struck was likely to survive.

I watched the Howard Stern show for 9/11 and 9/12 a couple months ago an it was the most raw view into human nature I have ever seen. Stern went from joking and laughing about Pamela Anderson to unironically supporting genocide
He basically said we need to go over there kill women children the elderly, drop a nuclear bomb, remove seven middle eastern dictators immediately, I know its a shock jock comedy show but after the second plane hit I really don't think anyone was joking.
He stopped short of endorsing vigilante attacks on arabs because "thats what the terrorists want". On the one hand you sympathize with the rage of Stern because he is coming to terms with the fact that likely many ppl he knows have just been killed.
