£40,000 UK university degrees don’t teach you one key skill:

Visual thinking.

Visual thinking improves idea clarity, communication speed, & problem solving.

How to tweet with impact for academics: a quick thread 👇 Image
1. Start with why - don’t just throw a random tweet out into the void. Decide your strategy for using Twitter. What are you trying to achieve? How do you want to drive impact? All tweets, timings, hashtags & connections you make must align with these goals.
2. Identify audience. Who do you want to influence? Where do they hang out on Twitter? How can you write tweets that appeal to them? Also, how can you connect & interact with them to start dialogue? Comment on tweets, follow threads, slide into DMs & make your research relevant.
