Neoliberalism is the art of privatization, globalization and financialization of economies. 
The push to private credit vs state spending allows the Wall Streets of the world & massive multinational corporations to suck the GDP out of the hands of the people...
trade deals pushed by the neoliberals of both parties facilitate this while simultaneously pushing the 99% to unsustainable private debt. This is their means of enslaving a planet... not just a country.
To the people who steadfastly support Clinton and Obama... you built Trump. Trump is the bastardization of globalization and privatization. Austerity measures cutting away the stabilizers ONLY hurt the 99%.
The wealthy ride straight through these recessions and depressions as they retool to get us all on the cheap as we pull out... slowly... via private debt or miniscule state stimulus...
Budget constraints built on $$$ spent is not a worthy approach to a stable economy. A country run on sovereign money must spend to offset global leakages and domestic impulses to savings. W/out a constant infusion of state money we'll always live in a state of economic terrorism.
If you want better. You must learn how our state financial operations work how our debt instruments work. How our dollar is created as needed. And how its lack of creation destroys the solvency of the 99%.
We need a federal job guarantee with a basic needs guarantee. We need a stabilizer for the 99% to prevent the abuse of labor. You must learn MMT.
Stop bragging about reducing the deficit. Stop bragging about reducing the "debt". Stop begging for austerity while fanning fears of runaway debt. Its all a lie meant to push us to private debt.
This explains the wealth gap. This explains the perverse rise of Trump and this explains why we cannot let go of beating down Clintonism and ensure we never see another Trump again.
