I don't understand the critique of my critique of those who support Turkey-Israel reconciliation. The assertion is that one article at Daily Sabah was slightly critical of Iran for some minor gas issue...and therefore I'm wrong to assert that Ankara gets along with Iran...

Second the assertion is that the UAE has done outreach to Iran...so therefore my observation that Ankara gets along with Tehran is sort of like saying "so what, the UAE also talks to Tehran"...
Let's address this piece by piece.

We can compare the Ankara-Tehran relations to Ankara-Jerusalem relations. Just do the math. Ankara is all smiles when it hosts its friends from Tehran. Ankara bashes Israel, hosts Hamas and compares Israel to the Nazis. Does it use such language at the UN about Iran? no.
When the day comes that Ankara treats Israel with the same respect it treats Iran...then I'll change my view and say "ok, look the rhetoric is changing, look at how Ankara's regime smiles when it meets Israeli leaders"...I await that day with skepticism.
Next...the theory that the UAE is engaging with Iran...so what does this have to do with Turkey. Israel can be friends with countries that engage with Iran. Israel should be friends with those countries...maybe it can reduce tensions with Iran that way?
The POINT I make again and again...is that there is a fantasy-myth that argues Israel and Turkey are partners or allies "against Iran"...Israel and Turkey are NOT. Turkey works with Iran. Iran seeks to attack Israel. Iran and Turkey BOTH back Hamas. This is the reality.
Ankara's loathing of Israel and its rhetoric are extreme. That Ankara even tried to stop UAE-Israel relations shows the real face. This is the reality. Ankara now pretends it wants to change to get some profits from Israel...fine...that's clear the agenda.
I don't believe in myths and I don't believe it what "might" happen...that if Israel does lots of things for Ankara then Ankara "might" be a partner "against" Iran...I watch the reality. Ankara is not a partner and no one should believe it ever will be.
Ankara had ample opportunity to stop hosting Hamas, it has given Hamas MORE red carpets in recent years, treating it like a foreign government. That's not normal. Anyway the ball is in Ankara's court...there's no logic for Israel to do anything.
I stand by my consistent view on this. No one has shown me evidence of Ankara's change...just because Ankara says it wants to host Israel's president...doesn't actually mean it changed. It means it wanted to overshadow the visit to the UAE.
Ankara is a regime that routinely imprisons journalists and average people for "insulting" the leadership...and has slandered Israel often. It knows what is an insult, so it knows what it is doing. It never apologized. Means it stands by its slander of Israel at the UN. Reality.
