In the past as well, there have been instances of the government, and ironically even the courts, relying on a law that has been struck down, @UmangPod reports.
A study spanning 11 states had found that after the provision was struck down, at least 1,300 cases were registered under Section 66A & 570 cases still remained pending by the end of 2020.
