Personal note.. my musical tastes evolved

I started as a young teen liking rock music (glam rock of 1970s: The Sweet, Slade, Suzi Quatro, Roxy Music, T Rex, Bowie, Alice Cooper etc)

Then Bowie led me to a direction I hated initially and refused to follow - into soul music

Bowie had his big musical transformation from his Ziggy Stardust era (Suffragette City, Rebel Rebel, The Jean Genie etc) to the new soul music direction for Bowie starting with Young Americans, Fame and Golden Years etc. I HATED this change

But later my tastes evolved to follow

Bowie leading me to soul music, brought me to appreciate what we call R&B, hip hop and rap music of today, my favorite type of music

And that allowed me to fall in love with the voice of Aretha Franklin, in the Blues Brothers doing Think

And Aretha Franklin led me musically to appreciate gospel music

That appreciation of gospel music finally, last year, let me discover Georgia Louis. That voice that is divine
