How much ground would a groundhog hog if a groundhog could hog ground?
Fun fact. Groundhog is another name for a woodchuck.
Here's a #GroundHogDay question. If you, like Phil, could relive the same day over and over again for years without ageing, what skills or hobbies would you pursue? The way he masters the piano and ice sculpting and suchlike.

"My grandmother was shot 32 times and my father was blown to bits. I know this country more than you."
That emotion in his voice. Too often we forget that before becoming a politician, he was a kid & a youth who has faced more horrifying personal tragedies than we can imagine.
I wish Rahul, Priyanka, Sonia spoke up more in this vein.
Modi was so shook up and whiny and his cabinet so furious because his motorcade was stuck in traffic for 20 mins cos of last minute plan changes.
Imagine if his dad & grandma had died like it. He'd bring it up everyday!
Whether you're a Congress supporter or not, that line should bring a tear to your eye. Can you imagine that childhood? That he's still standing there in parliament, hardly any seats, giving it his all. Gotta tip your hat, no?
The overt, overbearing and discriminating crap these sanghis pull in Indian schools would get them prosecuted, sued, penalized into bankruptcy in the United States. that's why they are so incensed at US universities starting to include caste under covered categories.
For right wingers, the definition of freedom is centered around the freedom to discriminate.
I'm not making this up. It's a firm belief in the US libertarian/conservative circle, repeated often by the likes of Rand Paul - "I don't discriminate & I won't go to a place that discriminates but govt/courts can't punish someone for discriminating cos that's anti-freedom."
How would you describe the taste of an avocado to someone who's never had an avocado?
Thank you for your responses. Please keep them coming. I plan to use this thread in class today when I teach the marketing case "The Meteoric Rise of Avocados"
Fun fact. Avocados can be and generally used to be papaya sized. Making them difficult to really handle in bulk.
But then one tree owned by a farmer named Hass produced human fist sized avocados, which were easy to pack and transport and ripen.
Funny thing is when the speech started, some IT cell bros were going "lol Rahul talking in English cos he can't talk in Hindi" and then that petulant interruption happened and after that he slayed it in Hindi as if he had checked Twitter.
I started watching thinking I'll just watch a few minutes to get a general idea and then watch Netflix but before I knew it, 45 minutes had passed!
To people who send DM message requests for advice about US grad school or jobs,
I try to answer every single genuine request. But please keep your queries limited to business school questions.
I can't & shouldn't give advice to engineers & doctors about their grad paths.
I Was an engineer once. Technically still am I suppose.
But I know next to nothing about US engineering programs.
And I'm not a person who pretends to know the answer to a question just because it is asked of me if I don't know the answer.
I'll just reply with "I don't know".
American universities are HUGE! American faculty sizes are HUGE!
A typical American professor knows NOTHING about admission or reputation or job prospects of a program outside their own field. The ones who pretend to, you shouldn't listen to. Cos you're getting vaporware.
While this story is a bit giggle-inducing, please also let us note that it is horrifying and an example of the suffocating social mores in Indian higher education.
These are adult men & women being treated like criminals for being adult men & women.
Having taught American college students for 15 years now, it is especially infuriating to look back at my times as a student in college in India. How they treated us like absolute shit and we just took it. We just took it.
