It is to Pakistan’s detriment that it has made arguably the most progressive of its citizenry an outcast - the Ahmadis. Despite the persecution, Pak-origin Ahmadis feel great affinity and love for #Pakistan and follow a narrative of deeply rooted loyalty.
#AhmadiApartheid
1/13
Pakistan's state sponsored & run persecution has also alienated other minority communities from the mainstream in the last 3 decades, forcing them to migrate out of #Pakistan. This loss is why the leftover populace is becoming more religiously zealous and intolerant.

2/13
The Justice Munir Inquiry Commission Report published in 1954, exposed the fundamental elements at play which were at the very centre of religious violence against Ahmadis in 1953. It appears that nothing has changed since then,...

#AhmadiApartheid
3/13
... except that collectively the society has further moved towards religious extremism. There are far less fair-minded voices in power out there who can speak on or even recognise injustices against the Ahmadis of #Pakistan.

4/13
The Munir Report exposed the shallowness of religious clerics who had no political vision for the newly formed nation, despite seeking enforcement from the Shariah, they propagated a very narrow minded and divisive ideology of promoting sectarian hate and anarchist mob rule.

5/
Those ideologies continue to remain at play plaguing Pakistan. The curse is still upon us without an end in sight. The underlying notion of mass murders remain a conversational topic among anti-Ahmadi religious groups & even mainstream politicians.
6/13
The hateful religious entities operate freely & without fear of the law or govt when spreading their vile philosophies & inciting their followers to kill. These groups are linked to either Jamaat-e-Islami, or Tehrik-e-Taliban, or Tehreek-e-Labbaik, or Lashkar-e-Jhangvi etc.
7/
The government in its naivety believe that holding talks and bringing some of these murderous elements into mainstream society is achievable. Such murderous philosophies in the name of religion are not a new phenomenon to the human civilisation.

8/13
Such people have appeared in the garb of priests and Christian clergy in medieval Europe as well; running inquisitions, killing innocents in the name of Jesus Christ and conspiring against kings and queens to achieve their political objectives.

9/13
Pakistani religious extremists are no different. The key motive has always been to acquire political power. These groups operate through the tools of anarchy. It is ludicrous to believe that the government’s agreement and the civilised table talk have any meaning for them.

10/13
Ahmadis are not given fair opportunities to respond under the Pakistan penal codes 295 C, 298 B, 298 C (Ordinance XX of 1984) and thus, it remains a futile exercise to attempt to defend themselves in an objective fashion.

11/13
Ahmadis will continue to endure these brutalities without resorting to violence or militant-defence, however, history won't be kind to Pakistanis, especially to the conscientious people who remain silent. #AhmadiApartheid #Pakistan

Europe was plunged into the most horrendous & dreadful period in the middle ages due to such religiously motivated violence in the name of Christ. Pakistan can have no different future unless it ditches the fantasy with religiously driven & led society.

Some friends may not like it, but Australians know it well, it's important to talk about it. The snake season is here, & we'll be spotting more snakes around, in the bush, in parks, and occasionally coming uninvited to our homes. What should we do during such an encounter?
1/9
There are a variety of snakes found living in our Australian environment including the Sydney suburbia. Some are venomous and others are virtually harmless to humans. Snakes are a natural part of the ecosystem and play a part in keeping things in balance
2/9
Eastern Brown Snake: A slender snake extremely venomous (2nd most in🌏) & aggressive when threatened or cornered, up to 2 m long. Stay away. Let it pass. Do not interact. If bitten call 000 and restrict your movement.

His efforts, not recommended in any textbook, were to save Pakistan from total defeat. Field Marshal Ayub Khan said, “The Indians attacked but Ali was there.”

Major Farouk Adam (Sitara Jurat) wrote a tribute for Lt. Gen. Abdul Ali Malik, the war hero of Chawinda - the site of the biggest tank battles since WWII, published in TheNews in 1992.

Some excerpts:

This man who had just been lowered under the shade in Pindori village (in 1992) was a hero of the nation – an unsung one – but then in a nation of false heroes, it should surprise few that Lt General Abdul Ali Malik should have walked into dusk relatively unnoticed.

Salam was the founder of the International Centre for Theoretical Physics, established in 1964 in Trieste, Italy. @ICTP was named after him at his death in 1996. 25/
For over half a century ICTP has been a driving force behind global efforts to advance scientific expertise in the developing world. 26/
