1/ New @balloonsville_2 post!? After the rug!? Is he serious!?!?

As a matter of fact, yes I am!

It has been a crazy day for us all, but a thread on why, I am again, bullish on @balloonsville_2!

2/ So what happened? Didn’t this project just get rugged, and you’re telling us to buy again? Well, yes it did, but the @MagicEden_NFT team with the help of @dirtysok and @ChartFuMonkey managed to pull off some voodoo and get the project back on its feet.

3/ With a 5,000 SOL injection from Magic Eden, the project will have a revived DAO where holders will be able to control the direction of the project. Additionally, if you have a balloon and want to burn it, you will get 1 SOL from the DAO paid to you.

4/ With the rest of the balloons, the team plans to stick to the original roadmap which includes homes, staking, and a p2e game. At the end of the day the decisions will be left to the DAO, with some direction from the project team.

5/ Now I know I said a lot of stuff about taking a closer look at projects before recommending, but I truly do think this project is special. It has an insane community behind it, supported by a common tragedy and with a renewed team and DAO fund, this project has potential.

6/ Now let’s talk about @ChartFuMonkey and @dirtysok. These folks are both quite well known in the SOL community and I absolutely believe them in bringing this project back to life. They both have a ton of experience in the space, and I think they will do a great and proper job.

7/ Yes a rug pull does suck, but we got together as a community, found a way to fix this, and create an amazing project. I am holding on to my Balloons as an example of what the community is about. With the this new team, I once again, trust them that they will do us right.

8/ In summary, today has been crazy. I think there are a ton of learnings for us all, but with a renewed team, an injection of SOL, and a supportive community, Ballonsville will be the project that we were all hoping for. Please DYOR, but I am very excited to see what is in store

2/ So a bit of a personal story. I started trading NFTs for the last year and was doing quite well. I was making a ton of money and really thought I was invincible, until the NFT winter of last year hit. I lost about 95% of my portfolio and vowed to never trade NFTs again.

3/ Alas, the NFT space called my name and here I am again, but this time with a lot more experience. I’ll be honest, it was really tough losing that much money, and it could have easily been avoided had I implemented some of the strategies I am going to talk about in this thread.

2/ Neon Game is an on-chain Solana game where players will allowed to either stake citizens or gangsters. This particular project is inspired by many other projects in the space and has a very similar set up. There are a few key differences which I think will make the game fun.

3/ To start, if you have a citizen, you will be able to stake in 4 different cities with different rates of earning, various games (double or nothing), and different staking times. If you have a Gangster, you have access to the funds the citizens make and can also steal mints.

1/ Woke up to some disappointing news this morning. One of the projects that I did research on and suggested buying was rugged. I personally was quite over leveraged into Ballonsville and bought into the hype.

2/ Let’s jump into some of the details first. Ballonsville, a project with a ton of hype, that minted yesterday had the founders come out and say that the project was a scam. They justified it by blaming it on ME, which I personally think is even more messed up.

3/ The Twitter and Discord were deleted and the prices of the NFTs fell almost 95%. Many people, including me, lost a lot of money. I think it’s a good reminder that this space is still very new and this will not be the last project that pulls something like this off again.

2/ Let’s start with the obvious, the team has put a ton of work into their project thus far including
- A 23 page well thought out whitepaper
- A doxxed team (which in this space is a luxury)
- A playable demo on their website

3/ The game is a collect-a-thon game where players are able to go through dungeons collecting loot for their player, fighting monsters, and having a kick ass time. More loot increases the chance of earning rare drops as well as allows players to complete harder dungeons.
