For context, Covid cases have been trending steadily downwards since end Jan but remain high (66,183 on Tuesday).

Reported deaths w/in 28 days of positive test yet to fall substantially from Jan peak, currently averaging over 250 a day, with 314 on Tuesday.
Yet hospital cases are still falling and despite huge wave of Omicron infections overall, deaths aren't higher than they normally would be this time of year.
