I was at Mumbai Fort Area yesterday to buy some Media Equipments

Payment was done via Organization's Bank Account. Seeing the Word 'Islamic' in Bank Details the phobia of Shop Owner was out in open. He started demanding various documents

I countered that for such purchases no such documents are required to be submitted but he was adamant saying what will i tell agencies if they come Inquiring, Islamic is ISIS etc etc. Now it was clear to me that uncle was a patient of Islamophobia so i decided to counsel Him

His Laptop was opened. So i said uncle you want to know about us go to our website sio-india.org
I dictated, he typed the web address murmuring "Ha yahi chahiye mujhe"

He surf the launch page & saved PDF E Book from download section. Interestingly the book title is 'Towards Understanding Islam'. He said he will save this atleast for 2 years, i was glad & said "Uncle Do read it throughly, Very Good Book" 😊

Now he was a bit pacified & so i tried to reason with Him "Uncle there are so many Muslims & Mosque around you (1 Masjid was around 200 meters from the Shop), You should Not react in such a way seeing the Word 'Islamic'.

"Dont believe in whatever you hear or see on Social Media. Do verify & dont blindly follow anyone. If some people say to u Sony Cameras are very bad, will you believe directly or check first" (Example relevant to His Buisness)

Now the Uncle tone was a bit changed. He said that He had many Muslim Friends. He is part of some committe where his co members are Muslims. There is one Amin bhai who tells him many things.

"Beta dont get me Wrong, Agar Organization ke naam mein Muslim Hota toh No Issue but Islamic per ye agency wale...". Now he turned towards politics & started showing me his Status something about being Anti BJP i guess.

He said Muslims come from outside & are residing from some 1000yrs, No problem was there but today's politics. I interrupted "Uncle, Only some Muslim came from outside, majority of us are people form here only". He added immediately "Yes Yes i Know, people here accepted Islam"

Than came the mention of ongoing Row about Hijab. He was like you can wear anything you want outside but schools mein toh uniform hi hona chahiye, religious nahi hone chahiye. Rules are for everyone.

He gave example that in some shop we see notice 'Footwear Outside` toh sab ko nikalna hi padhta hai

I countered "Uncle, Anyone can wear anything outside is NOT right. If someone wants to roam Naked in Market outside you Shop, will you allow ?. He replied "NO"

I continued "So there is no absolute Freedom, so next question arises about Right & Wrong. You can make rule of 'Footwear Outside' But Can you make the rule 'No Jains allowed to Shop Here ❓'. He again Replied "NO"

I Continued "So you get the point uncle, one cannot frame rules that are fundamentally wrong & Violates fundamental Rights of Others"

Than After the Normal Hi Bye, Uncle went outside for some work, Other Sales person were somewhat apologetic, they said Uncle had some bad experience in the past etc etc

Finally we got what we wanted & left. To Conclude, I make dua (pray) that May Allah (Almight God) cure Uncle & all other fellow Indians Brothers & Sisters who are suffering from Islamophobia. Aameen
