One drawback to Rideau and Sussex, long lines to go to the washroom.
It is -26 right now, and it’s clear that 4 porta potties won’t cut it.
Guess they should have called up Toddy’s Potties like Wellington St did #cdnpoli#ottnews
When I was headed back to the office, I saw a bunch of cops getting organized and I thought that someone might be getting arrested.
Turns out this dude fell over and they just went to help him. #cdnpoli#ottnews
Friends, I’m back out on the streets and we have a new contender for Ottawa’s Hottest Club.
The Freedom Beer Tent is now playing club beats and the mainly Québécois crowd is loving it.
The truckers are also laying on the horn so they drop the beat #cdnpoli#ottnews
As any top club would, The Freedom Beer Tent has everything.
Deflated bouncy castles, tin foil hats and Guy Fawkes masks #cdnpoli#ottnews
One drawback for the Freedom Beer Tent, it’s just a dude playing stuff from his phone.
That wouldn’t be acceptable at Ottawa’s Second Hottest Club, Rideau and Sussex but the crowd loves it anyways #cdnpoli#ottnews
Ottawa’s Hottest Club, Wellington St, has closed for the night but looks like the Bitcoin flag guy (who was here last weekend) might be scouting out a potential sponsorship deal #cdnpoli#ottnews
Ottawa’s Second Hottest Club, Rideau and Sussex is still going strong, despite the crowd thinning out a little bit.
The truckers are revving their engine which lets out a bunch of diesel smoke and I cannot describe just how bad it smells #cdnpoli#ottnews
I’m sure everyone is wondering, Mack! Where are all the cops?
In their cars!
On my second time out tonight, I spent about 40 minutes in the crowd and I didn’t see a single cops walking around. They are all in their cars like this, just listening to the party #cdnpoli#ottnews

Liberal MP Han Dong is alleged to have been helped by the Chinese consulate in Toronto during his 2019 nomination race, by bussing in seniors & students to vote for him, according to CSIS docs & sources
CSIS asked the PM's senior staff to rescind Dong's nomination, per sources
Through a combo of CSIS docs and intelligence sources, Global News has learned the consulate allegedly sent 2 busloads of Chinese Canadian Seniors to Liberal nomination meeting, and those seniors knew who to vote for, because Dong’s name was written on their arm #cdnpoli
Sources also say CSIS suspected that Chinese international students with faked addresses were bussed in to Don Valley North and “told by the PRC Consulate” to support Dong, “if they want(ed) to maintain their student visa status,” as per CSIS docs and intelligence sources
BREAKING – Justice Paul says the government met the threshold to bring in the Emergencies Act
“There was credible and compelling evidence supporting both subjective and objective reasonable belief in the existence of a public order emergency."
Here are some other key facts from the report.
Rouleau found on multiple league grounds the feds were justified on bringing in the EA. Cabinet had “credible and compelling information” that there was a “threat to the security of Canada” #cdnpoli
“The invocation of the Emergencies Act is a drastic move, but it is not a dictatorial one” said Rouleau. He went on to say, "I concluded that in this case, the very high threshold was met. I have done so with reluctance." #cdnpoli
I'm watching the Federal Court hearing where Doug Ford and Sylvia Jones are fighting their summons to testify at the Public Order Emergency Commission looking into the use of the Emergencies Act. I'll tweet out some highlights #cdnpoli#ottnews
The lawyer representing Ford and Jones is arguing they have Parliamentary privileges allowing them not to be compelled to testify while the ON legislature is sitting, which gives them a “lawful excuse to not comply with the summons” from the POEC #cdnpoli#ottnews
The summons has put Ford and Jones in the “intolerable position of having to assert their privilege and potentially be faced with competed proceedings” as per their lawyer, adding that if they could face "irreparable harm" if a stay is not granted #cdnpoli#onpoli
Ontario Premier Doug Ford and former Solicitor General Sylvia Jones have been summoned to appear at the Public Order Emergency Commission, looking into the use of the Emergencies Act.
The commission says they will get confirmation later today if they will appear #cdnpoli
Both Jones and Ford have come up repeatedly in testimony
Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson said Ford didn't want anyone from the province to attend meetings with other levels of government to deal with the Convoy because it would be a "waste of time" #cdnpoli
Back at St. Bridget's church, a local man went inside and sat on the stage
TUPOC director William Komer said the guy was trespassing and could be arrested by their private security, then the actually Ottawa Police showed up and arrested the guy #ottnews
As for the actual arrest itself, the guy was walking out of the church on his own, when he says to the cops “Nice to see you defend these guys, who shut down the city for a month”
The cop then asks for his name and he replies “you’re a fucking hero”
