Roger Froikin @rlefraim wrote, "TIRED OF RUSSIA AND UKRAINE YET ???
Maybe not, but I am tired of the misinformation that seems to be the norm coming from so-called experts. Is it intentional misinformation or is it ignorance?
1)
I don’t know, but here are some examples. They are all talking about a Russian invasion of Ukraine, talking as if it is something inevitable. Understand this. Putin is not stupid.
2)
Invading Ukraine would be enormously expensive for Russia and the Russian economy is an economy only 10% the size of the EU and a mess as well. Russia cannot afford it. And, Russia cannot afford a long protracted resistance that the Ukrainian people could put on.
3)
So, unless Putin has become stupid, there will be no invasion.
The media and the Government keep pointing to what they call the Russian invasion of Crimea in 2014, but that is a lie. The people of Crimea voted, under provisions of Russia-Ukraine treaties,
4)
to join the Crimea to Russia by a margin of 85%-15%. There was no Russian invasion. They mention Russia invaded Georgia, ignoring the fact that no Russian troops ever invaded Georgia. Ethnic Russians in two areas of Georgia declared independence and fought for it.
5)
Russia never annexed those areas. (Note that if Russia was so aggressively annexing, why did they not annex those areas?)
Then we hear discussions about sanctions, with many saying that the US should impose sanctions now, in advance of any invasions.
6)
So, let’s look at what kind of sanctions they are suggesting.
It has been suggested that the US should block Nordstream II gas pipeline. That would hurt Germany and others in Europe, unwilling to allow that to happen.
7)
The US has no power to do this by itself, beyond the talk.
It has been suggested that Russia be removed from access to SWIFT money transfers, but the fact is that Russia uses this service for less than a couple percents of its business. Losing it would mean very little, and
8)
product purchases made with it could be easily replaced by trade with China, India, and the rest of Asia. Western European business would be the loser.
And as for Sanctions on individuals, minimal effect as other countries would never cooperate.
9)
Remember the story “The Boy Who Cried Wolf”. This sounds a lot like that. It seems that every time Russia has military maneuvers, the media yells about “invasion”. In the last ten years this is now the third time, guessing what is in Putin’s mind.
10)
The governments with weak - and possibly corrupt - leadership in NATO seem obsessed with Russia and Ukraine.
Or is it that the Governments of the West are simply doing the bidding of Chın a? LOOK WHO BENEFITS.
11)
But in today's America, where dissent gets punished, will this comment get me suspended from Facebook?"

@HumansOfJudaism Holocaust survivor Rachel Roth was born in 1926 in Warsaw, Poland. She was just 13 when the Nazis invaded & her family was confined to the Warsaw Ghetto. They hid in a secret bunker, but Rachel’s mother & three siblings were all caught & sent to their deaths. 1)
Rachel remained until the Uprising, in which she actively participated by smuggling in weapons to help the resistors. Once caught, she was deported to Majdanek, followed by Auschwitz. Upon her arrival, Rachel was shaved and tattooed with the number 48915.
2)
Below the number was a small triangle, half a Star of David, to show she was a Jew. She worked as a slave laborer for nearly two years and was then shipped by cattle car to Bergen Belsen, where she was finally liberated in April 1945.

1)
You may be familiar with the name Peter Beinart. It has become a name familiar to those that are antiIsrael as he clearly opposes Israel and has recently written that he believes Israel should be no more.
2)
For the same reason he is known to those that support Israel and are upset by the positions he takes so publicly as they damage Israel and give fuel to the antisemites.

Perhaps someone in the White House should learn to spell “STUPID”
1)
Bribing Iran has never worked and will never work. Persia invented chess and Biden’s White House is stuck playing checkers.
2)
First, Biden appointed people who negotiated the failed previous agreement, one so bad that they refrained from submitting it to the Senate for ratification because they knew it would not pass, to do the new round of negotiations with Iran.

1)
There is an interesting possible long term solution to end the problem of 30% of Ukraine being Russian ethnics who feel they have been made into second class citizens in Ukraine.
2)
Ukraine has an interest in ending the ethnic conflict in its eastern areas that are dominated by Russian ethnics who refuse second class status in the new Ukraine.
3)
Perfect! This is exactly what I wrote about apologies and why Roseanne should have been forgiven.

“I did think he did a fine job with his apology. He said a lot of things I would want someone to say. He said a lot of the things I would want to hear someone say. The thing that stuck out for me most was when he said, ‘It’s not my word to use.’

And I think changed behavior is what we’re really looking for,” she explained."
