And it’s gone. I’d be highly suspicious of patronizing @Chefshivambu. Gotta wonder what his food tastes like if he’s stealing other peoples dishes for clout.
With his punk ass.

I think there’s a way to let kids have choices when it comes to eating, & it’s often wrapped in privilege. Can one afford to take your kid shopping and let them pick different veggies to try? Does one have the time to find/cook a recipe using it instead of the faster ol’ standby?
We need to recognize that sometimes we heard “Eat what I make or don’t eat!” because that’s the only thing there was. Or that’s the only thing our caregiver had time to make. Sometimes it came from a place of scarcity.
If that’s not OUR story now, we can/should change that.
*If* you have the resources to expand your child’s palate at a young age, it’s helpful. It also gives your kid some agency. “Which veggie/protein should we have tonight?” Is an easy way to get them involved AND increase the chance of them finishing because they picked it.
FYI: The @USPS has a thing called Informed Delivery. Every day, you get an email telling you what mail will be delivered that day. They take pics of the envelopes. You may not think you need this... until you don't get something you've been sort of expecting. 1/ #Thread
I applied to renew @DHSgov Global Entry months ago, finally had my in person interview, & was approved. They sent out my new card, replacing my expired one. @USPSHelp said it would be delivered on July 6. I never got it, or any of the other mail that day, including tax docs.
I went out of town w/o it. Now I'm back and... I'm 2 days late in reporting it missing. None of my mail that day had tracking numbers, so I have no way to track it down. Talked to my @USPS carrier today & she shrugged nicely. I wouldn't even have known w/o Informed Delivery.
As we slowly emerge from the Panini fog & begin to travel again, let me tell you how the Black Women of @thepointsguy, @AvQueenBenet and @vikkie, saved me nearly $4700 on a hotel stay. Gather round, chil'ren. Auntie has a story to tell. #Thread
Planning a trip several months away during PEAK peak season. The hotels jack up the rates so bad it's mind-boggling. For a five night stay, it was going to cost $5665. WAY out of my price range. I'm a faithful reader of @thepointsguy, so I start to finesse & finagle.
I would need 280,000 points to book the same room. But that's 200K more than I have. 😫 Then I get the email: Marriott (my hotel chain of choice) is having a 30% off points sale. Now, I know from @thepointsguy that buying points is usually a losing proposition. However.
