3/8 He's being prosecuted for allegedly "stealing or extorting weapons". He was a victim of provocation which was carried out by provocateurs under the control of the authorities.As a second-year student, he went out during peaceful rallies out of curiosity.
4/8 On the way, provocateurs took him to a police building and forced him to take weapons, which were lying freely on the floor. There was not a single police officer in the building.
5/8 Berikbol's own uncle recounts:"We filed a statement [about the torture].This is outrageous.They're very young. They are students.They are not terrorists.Besides studying, they also work.They go to classes in the morning, then go to work. Who has enough money to live on now?
6/8 When everyone got there, Berikbol ran away from there. But, an unidentified man forced him back in, threatening to shoot him. The teenager ran back towards the police building being afraid. He entered the building and saw a lot of guns lying on the floor.

📍 "We were in the square. They brought us food in a cauldron. People did not leave each other without support, they brought meat, rice and cooked food.
2/6 On 9 March, a man, who introduced himself as an associate of the Police Department “Saryarka”, #SULEIMENOV Nurbek called Tabys and invited him to the Police Department regarding his participation in a peaceful protest on 4 January 2022.
3/6 The policeman summoned the activist over the phone without explaining the meeting agenda, as required by law. Also, like all peaceful citizens, Tabys did not commit any violent acts or riots at the rally.
