dApp integrations are actually quite important for @railgun_project for a myriad of reasons.
First and foremost - the ability to transact directly to and from a #private balance is a huge advantage. With non-custodial mixers all you're doing is breaking the chain of custody of some tokens and this wouldn't be very useful privacy for many things.
Let's look at @ConvexFinance as an interesting use case - #convex lockers receive bribes and with #Votium you can delegate a wallet that you wish to collect bribes to.
One could imagine a use case where you delegate to your RAILGUN private balance effectively allowing you to take bribes in an #anonymous fashion without them ever touching your wallet with the locked funds.
Some folks get MILLIONS a year in bribes and being able to receive them #privately would be quite powerful.
#dApp integrations are also quite powerful for the anonymity set associated with the protocol. It increases the size and noise associated with the pool which is important since @railgun_project doesn't require set amounts for deposits/withdraws.
All the transferring, swapping, lending, borrowing, creates a TON of noise. In other words, interactions with other dApps greatly increases the throughput and variation of RAILGUN interactions thus making it increasingly difficult to correlate transactions.
This also means @railgun_project depositing wallets achieve privacy much faster and in a way that would not be possible without these dApp integrations.
By creating an ecosystem where @railgun_project users can effectively piggyback off a pool of multifarious #DeFi activity we can create an increasingly larger and noisier anonymity pool.
