🇸🇪Was Sweden right about Covid all along?

The country, which avoided lockdown, seems to be thriving while Britain is counting the cost of harsh restrictions

❓Will we ever know who got it right? 🧵👇

telegraph.co.uk/news/2022/02/1…
Sweden didn't lock down... but people chose to minimise socialising themselves.

🇬🇧🇸🇪Which country had a smaller drop in GDP?
🔴ANSWER: Sweden

Sweden had a drop in GDP of 2.9%, while Britain's was 9.4%
🇬🇧🇸🇪Which country has a higher recorded death rate?
🔴ANSWER: Britain

As Sweden abolishes all domestic Covid restrictions, it emerges with one of Europe’s lower Covid death tolls: the rate is 1,614 per million people, just over half the amount of Britain (2,335)
🇬🇧🇸🇪Which country's economy is expected to be 5% larger this year than before the pandemic?
🔴ANSWER: Sweden

Sweden’s GDP fell by 2.9 per cent in 2020, while Britain’s collapsed by 9.4 per cent. Both have bounded back, but Sweden’s economy is this year expected to be five per cent larger than before the pandemic, versus about one per cent for the UK
It's too early to say who got it right.

But this is what we already know 👇
