I’ve been going through some old boxes & came across this letter from Gen. Andrew Goodpaster. I remember interviewing him for about 45 minutes. I recorded it on an old Walkman that had a built-in microphone. When I reviewed the tape, I realized I had it set to record AM radio.🤦🏻‍♂️ Image
That time in 1986 when I wrote a college paper about the handiwork of Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, et al. in representing kleptocratic Angolan butcher Jonas Savimbi (one of Ronald Reagan’s terrorist “freedom fighters”). Image
Manafort has been repping butchers for my entire adult life. He was also worked for the ridiculously corrupt Viktor Yanukovych, Putin’s lackey who was literally chased out of Ukraine in 2014.
Manafort. Again. May he never know the peace of sleep.

Mind boggling thread. See below for translation. Even more shocking is that Russian soldiers are using unencrypted civilian radios to communicate (Chinese Baofeng walkie-talkies captured). Did some oligarch get the contract and swapped cheap radios to pocket the difference?
Good thread on how scandalously easy it is to eavesdrop on Russian forces. It’s becoming clearer why US intelligence officials were so confident in their “predictions” about Russian intentions. Even amateurs can listen-in & troll or jam the invaders. I’m positively slack jawed!😱
