People keep posting me on reddit 😂

I swear it's not me

They get really mad when you say t cells die and get depleted in SARS Cov 2 and Long Covid reddit.com/r/Immunology/c…
Don't take my word for it, just read the papers!

I will link two:
nature.com/articles/s4159…
And then the third paper, on Long Covid or PASC

This is curious. People I respect were saying immunologists do not believe reinfections or breakthroughs could devolve into long covid or harm immunity, and that my statements are too wild.

I think breakthroughs and reinfections are inconvenient truths to "Covid is over™"
There is a group of economically-prioritizing neoliberals that are strong-arming immunology to claim that these tempered statements of immunity to SARS being insufficient are false

People will get harmed in the coming waves friends, I promise you
Dropping masks and the status quo to do so is M.A.D.

Mutually Assured Destruction

Now is the time to be careful because BA.2 is out and Omicron has rapid mutagenesis compared to previous variants

Please, only if you know what Tem is:

Sars cov 2 reinfections may have an additive detriment to immunity
only if you know what Tem is:
Breakthrough infections may devolve into Long Covid's curious depletion
Only if you know what Tscm is:
I anticipate Long covid's curious depletion to be self limiting (without intervention)

It's really not hard guys

T cells help you until they don't

Find the difference and you Win

There are two theories and then my own, which is under review: 1/🧵
2/ The first theory is from de Candia. They claimed that
1) young t cells act more precisely on cov2's epitopes thanks to a broad repertoire
2) memory t cells in older people contribute to inflammation pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33277181/
The second theory is Petter Brodin's theory regarding energy allocation.

A fact then a bit of speculation as my contribution:

fact: Naive T cells are a correlate of protection independent of age (but it correlates)

Speculation: As sars cov 2 infections greatly deplete Naive T cells, there may be a point where decompensation occurs (less protection)
Of course this is a dynamic relationship where other elements of the immune system can contribute to protection like antibodies and primed memory

But there is a natural sloughing and aging of the immune system

More to come on this
In cases where there is antibody escape the T cell dynamics are weighed more heavily, which is what we see often with these sera-evading variants and with titer waning

I have been delivering this message of the differentiating and dying T cells in the news since October 2020, have a read agenciasinc.es/Reportajes/Los…

Lots of articles now, and some in agreement. What do you all think? ImageImage
My recommendation for targeting Fas-mediated death (My mechanistic contribution in the pandemic) is being pursued in France. What do you guys think?

BTW I had the idea in January 2020. I noticed the signs of lymphocyte death in the publications out of China. ImageImage
This has been tough because many people sought to discredit me and make promises about T cell immunity that simply were not true

They actually have been quite abusive for over a year with derision and ridicule... but I was right Image

Before I relayed the message, did you believe Cov2 induced Alzheimer's or Parkinson's like neuropathology?
When I relayed the message, did you then believe Cov2 induced Alzheimer's or Parkinson's like neuropathology?
Did you see other Scientists or laypeople disparage my warning of neuropath, and did you believe them or me?
