austerity logic choosing who lives and who will die is a capitalist nightmare, it's awful
this is endgame of the I GOT MINE approach of both the emergency response and the "it's all about me" advocacy grounded in individual experience (which is not social justice or public health, and will not change the system); yes it's neoliberal capitalism
pilot projects aren't victories. they must be a springboard, a launchpad. because
the moral outrage that @SaferVic describes, the recognition that this is not fair, is the moment when changing everything becomes not just possible but necessary.

it's not about individuals but the connections between us and our differences. figuring out -where we are at- in the world is the process of figuring out how to change it so that all of us can be alive
but the system set this up to divide us, to co-opt people, to laugh while we fight each other instead of them, to hoard information and never share anything. to tear us apart although we're already in shreds.
