Tamara Lich is back in the court room. Four lawyers are defending Lich in the civil action. They are not revealing the name on the record who offered to drive them back to AB.

Karimjee is talking about how Tamara has been billed a "great leader of the trucker movement" from a press interview Feb 14th where Lich says they "plan to stay planted" on Parliament hill.

She counselled members of Police and Military units to "follow their conscience" and disobey chain of command. "Just following orders has always been an excuse for those who ignore moral intuition."

Feb 17 - She was arrested and as she was being driven away, she shouted "hold the line" from the cruiser. Statement being entered as evidence that her influence is substantial.

Karimjee making argument this was not about mandates. Crown submitted evidence this morning for the record of truckers still "holding the line" as we are seeing on news and livestreams

Karimjee confident that the Crown has provided enough evidence to satisfy the to court that it should have no confidence in what Lich says about her regret and promise to stop.

Lich's husband flew to Ottawa on a private jet, but they can't make bail over $5,000

Mr. Lich being proposed as surety is another person who doesn't believe in the rule of law, and his evidence was borderline incredulous and unbelievable.

He suggests that what was happening in downtown Ottawa was simply "a traffic jam."

Mr. Lich also suggested to the court that the sounds from the protest were no worse than a construction site

The case he is citing was obstruction of only one roadway, not an entire downtown core.

"Anyone disregarding "rule of law" does so at their own peril"

She claims to be a leader of an organization. There are videos filed before the court of her instructing people to "hold the line" and they are still doing that. "One can not fuel a fire and be surprised when it spreads"

Crown is showing so many cases that won't allow Lich wiggle room on being held responsible. Too many to type and he talks really fast

"She was issuing press releases. She is the leader. We have a "truckload" of evidence from Ms. Lich herself."

"To release her with such overwhelming evidence would put the admin of justice in disrepute"

"Detention should follow in this case or it will make a mockery of this system. Someone can incite an occupation of a city over social media and then come to court and be set free? Even encouraging military to not follow orders?

Self-proclamation of law, but now will abide by the court orders? When you get arrested, you respect the law all of a sudden? That would make a mockery of our justice system.

Magas is trying to say Lich didn't proclaim herself as a leader of this movement. "She said I'm just a mother."

Judge: She never corrected it, did she?

Magas: "What you have before the court is a woman with no "criminal record. She comes before the court and says she will obey the conditions. She wants to go home to her family and children"

Barber case cited. Judge says they are not charged with the same thing. Magas says they are charged for some of the same things. Semantics

Magas: No evidence of an organized group where Lich is the leader. There are different groups. Many different people have decided to protest. To hold Lich responsible for all, there is no evidence to support this.

Holy Christ.... The words "Hold the Line" have been placed into record so many times today. Getting tired of hearing it TBH lol

Magas is arguing she deserves bail like any other case. Zero evidence to substantial likelihood she won't break bail conditions.

Magas is saying they may have been confused about what is or isn't a legal protest.

The court has to consider their income and assets.They Lease their home. They don't have considerable financial means

Magas contesting the Crown's usage of the term "Criminal organization." There is no evidence before the court pointing to any specific group yet.

Magas grasping at straws now about the "It wasn't louder than a construction site." She just said maybe it is comparable at night when it's quiet. Wow, Matlock! Great defense! LMAO!

Judge asking for clarification on Lich's husband comparing her to JFK and John Lennon. frankly, we all are asking WTF that was about.

Magas now citing gravity of offense. Counsel to mischief and counsel to obstruct. We have to be careful regarding acts and their impacts. Is she serious? Is she working for the Crown here?

Lich will appear in person at the Court house for the Tuesday remand.

Hope the cheese for the sandwiches made it to the jail with all the "traffic jams" around Ottawa.

New arrests are quarantined. Clerk cannot confirm if she can or cannot be transported to Court. Lich also stated for the record that she is not vaccinated

Court officer appears out of nowhere and says she will be on duty Tuesday AM. She will ensure Judge's request is relayed. Court officer cited the closures did not permit transport today. Wonder why the traffic was so bad?
