We should be as precise as possible when setting up a probability calculation.

We should consider the number of sequences that we grab and put in the numerator because they are "special".

This would include both the numeracy of filed/patented sequences, but ALSO the length of the sequence in question since that scales the potential number of locations of that sequence. The latter part might be better specified for function, so a subset.

Can we express a well-formed statement of prob/stats that meaningfully suggests that we are looking at something not natural?

Yes, and in numerous ways.

But let's not overstate the rarity of any of them or we leave ourselves open to attack.

Is this closer a smoking gun? It is certainly one more substantial conditional in the probability computation!

Finally got the COVID after two years. Was very tired last night with a 100.4 fever, elevated heart rate, and headaches. Took IVM, quercetin, zinc, nasal/throat rinse, vitamins, budesonide. 12 hours later most of my symptoms are gone.

I'm allergic to iodine, so I use a saline nasal rinse. I also used phenol on my throat since my wife, who is a few days ahead in symptoms, developed a sore throat. Might as well use anything that kills virus. Mouthwash too.

I forgot to say that I took pepcid, too.

Fever this morning down to 99.1. Heart 70% of the way back to normal. Slight headache and body ache still.

My latest (fifth) 30 day suspension from #Farcebook did not even take discussing any aspect of the pandemic. It was me sharing a 23 second video make by my buddy @RebeccaTig that shows...the Earth (and my substack URL).

By the end of this month, I will have served just under half of a year in 10 total suspensions. Never have I been told that my information was incorrect, or in what way it was incorrect.
