As we know the mindless titans eat people to seek out a shifter to turn back. I think that could be due to 2 reasons:
1) It's to escape the endless nightmare they are experiencing (like Ymir (freckles) describes).
2) It's a continuation of following Fritz will as Fritz daughters did, when eating Ymir.
They seem to inherently know that is the solution to their nightmare and/or they blindly follow fritzs order to gain the titan power, without having any kind of power over their own body.
All these things closely resemble Ymirs experience.

Just thought this observation and connection needed to be said.
Expansion from this discussion about Ymir (freckles) experience as mindless titan and how it resembles Ymir (Fritz) experience:
Though not the same king (or tbh situation), I felt it is interesting that we indirectly get to hear what Ymir could have felt like as the founding titan, impacted by kings will, making her feel that the ๐ผ๐ป๐น๐ ๐ฒ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฒ from her suffering is ๐ธ๐ถ๐น๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ณ.
I think it's also interesting to mention that it could be that all Founding titan holders might experience some kind of amount of pain that would lead them to similair end, choosing to subject themselves to this and then being able to accept being eaten 13 years later, which +
A thread of instances of Mikasa being the antithesis of Ymir and how that plays into Ymirs conclusion. (and Happy Birthday Mikasa!) #MikasaAckerman#Mikasa

Flower stained by blood is remembered by Ymir before dying.
Flower being washed by the rain(that could have possibly had Zeke's blood in it too, because of the blast).
Ymir loses the will to live.
Zekes will to save the world is strong.
Ymir saving royal blood
Also completely forgot to comment on the flower thing. I've said before the flower represents beauty and it's stained by blood(cruelty). In Zeke's instance it could be that he is trying to wash away the cruelty.
A little exploration of the possible reasoning behind this certain depiction of Paths and the Curse of Ymir and their relation to Ymir Fritz.
[THREAD]
Structure of the thread:
๐Curse of Ymir: Beginning
๐Paths: Escape
๐ธPaths appearance
๐ธYmirs apperance
๐ธCoordinate
๐New Development: Rage
๐Breaking of the Curse: Healing
๐๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ซ: ๐๐๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ง๐
The beginning of the curse can be pinpointed to either the time, when Ymir first gains the power or once Ymir first enters the Paths as Ymir is the first ever shifter and the founder of this power.
