Project overview
Polar nodes brands itself as the "first fully decentralized autonomous node organization", or DANO for short. It's a #NAAS project on @avalancheavax which pays out in $POLAR
Their roadmap was what originally caught my eye (along with their branding & color scheme on their home page), with the inclusion of several intriguing future features
Loved the unique branding used to differentiate the new node tiers. This approach feels less transactional and allows you to be a bit more emotionally invested in your $POLAR portfolio
A nice point of differentiation with other #NAAS projects IMO

Project Overview (cont.)
Polar operates its community out of its @discord which is currently home to just over 6k members. All of their updates & announcements are posted here, and some are shared on @twitter. Updates are not posted to their site
2 weeks in to my research, and here's how I'm feeling so far about the non-financial components of the Polar DANO project:
π Branding
π₯° Digital UI & Roadmap
π Charter
π Dapp UI
π Discord atmosphere
π€’ Community chatter
π‘ Team's professionalism
8/
Initial Experience (cont.)
Their branding is quaint, fun, and energetic. Love their color palette, it caught my eye. Their site is minimalist, and roadmap clear - albeit generalized and devoid of any specific details.
9/
Initial experience (cont.)
Setting up a node is easy. Setup UI could use a design overhaul, but it works as intended. The Node inventory section should be much more informative & detailed than it is. Underwhelmed with this UI, but assuming they'll overhaul soon
10/
Initial experience (cont.)
In discord they have some channels for bugs & scams, but no support channels for new folks to ask questions. I asked 3 questions, only 1 was ever answered. Not a good onboarding experience. Onboarding is critical and they're missing the mark
11/
Initial experience (cont.)
Reading through post history from before I joined, was a bit worried to see the team putting strong emphasis on hyping & elevating emotions vs. developing a community and communicating clear and measured expectations until the project matures
12/
Initial experience (cont.)
Cannot stress enough how lacking the onboarding was. No one to greet, no dedicated place for questions, and no one in the community showing any substantive emotional investment in helping newcomers. This is the stuff that hurts long-term
13/
Team & community
The Polar team has not gone through the KYC process (that I'm aware of), but they do have an influencer involved in the project which is intended to provide reassurance. They also plan to doxx their lead developer via LinkedIn
I was disappointed to not find any members of the community clearly taking on a leadership role to promote collaboration and support new members. They have since begun seeking additional advisors. Need to see more EMOTIONAL investment shown
15/
Team & community (cont.)
3 days after I joined they did a huge contract migration to roll out the new node tiers. Everyone on edge, plus everyone looking to upgrade their legacy nodes before the new tiered supply ran out. I was horrified at the way the team communicated
16/
Team & community (cont.)
6k members anxious & stressed, with little info about what they have to do to make their fast-finger upgrade & the lead dev on the project is spamming @ everyone's for unnecessary comments. This is the point that my final opinion was decided
17/
Team & community (cont.)
First three words that come to mind to describe what I've seen from the project team to-date?
β Unprofessional
β Immature
β Insensitive
This was the biggest disappointment for me. All faith was eroded on migration day. I hope they improve here
18/
Sustainability & Value
First thing I look for is treasury management & reporting, and I see none of that. Which makes it difficult to confidently say that income can cover rewards long-term. These are very appealing rewards, but I don't see a path to sustainability yet
19/
Sustainability & Value (cont.)
This is another place where the team's professionalism and maturity could help them inspire confidence in their ability to manage and grow a treasury. I want to see what their plan is to break dependence on a ponzinomic model
20/
Sustainability & value (cont.)
In their defense, all of these projects start with ponzinomics. The question is, how effective do they leverage their revenue to build a well-diversified treasury, and how well do they manage their reward pool
21/
Sustainability & value (cont.)
The $POLAR token itself currently has no current concrete utility, meaning that the only value it has currently is in the value it can create relative to the time it needs to create that value. Roadmap however, points towards future utility
22/
Price action of $POLAR
Potentially key areas of π΄R/Sπ’ to watch for below. There's enough room to move both ways
π’ Support between $2.70 - $3.12
π’ Support between $1.35 - $1.98
π΄ Resistance at $3.83, $4.77, $6.03
23/
Final thoughts on Polar
β Very cool concept
β Love the branding
β Intriguing roadmap
β Low entry cost
β Delicious ROI options
βοΈ Poor communication
βοΈ Not fully doxxed
βοΈ No clear treasury strategy
βοΈ Distribution % for reward pool reduced
βοΈ Sustainability concerns
24/
DISCLAIMER: This is not financial advice, always do your own research and do not assume that my experience will be yours. Project could be great for others but it's not one that I'm looking to grow my position in. Hope they prove me very wrong and wish them best of luck!

Project overview
VaporFi is a hybrid #NaaS#DaaS protocol on the @avalancheavax network. It pays out $VPND and flipped the script on catering to small investors with a unique compounding reward system
Whitepaper has room for improvement, but goes into great detail exactly where needed and provides a solid glimpse into what the protocol is focused on, and what it's value proposition is

Project overview
Pentagon Financial is a #DaaS protocol on @0xPolygon which pays out in $PENT and uses a very intriguing (and fun) fusion mechanism to upgrade nodes to increase yields. They also have a unique renting option as well!
