#UPDATE A 6.2-magnitude earthquake has struck Indonesia's northern Sumatra island, the US Geological Survey says, but there are no immediate reports of casualties or structural damage.

The quake hit at a depth of 12 kilometres (7.5 miles), about 66km from the town of Bukittinggi
