The western bloc are crying foul at Russia as if they haven't done anything to contribute to the situation. US finally got what they wanted. It's an opportunity to wipe out Russia with the most severe sanctions. Russian assets have been seized. It's a major faux pas.
This war, preferably a long protracted one will plunge Russia into a quagmire, cause capital flight out of Europe, weaken Euro, strengthen US$, prop up the US stock market, induce European capital to seek refuge in US treasury
bonds, curb US inflation, increase EU inflation, cut off Europe's energy supply from Russia, force Europe to buy LNG from the US thus weakening competitiveness of European industry by raising the energy cost,
pitting Russia against Europe & strengthen the role of Nato, dampen
the dream of an independent Europe,
thoroughly weaken and isolate Russia
by kicking Russia out of the global economic circuit, cause internal social unrest in Russia....
Last but not the least, the US military industrial complex will profit handsomely...
However, everything may backfire against the Anglo-Saxons. Things may not develop in the direction to the liking of the Anglo-Saxons.
China Russian alliance will strengthen. A victimized Europe may revise its course....
Western leaders all become poets to condemn the Ukraine situation. "A dark day for Europe and a dark day for Ukraine... "
"A violation of basic principles of human co-existence"
So US/Nato haven't started unjust wars killing millions? Oh, we see, the victims weren't humans.

This is a recording of a phone conversation on Feb. 19 between Zelensky and his assistant released by a TV channel in Ukraine. Zelensky asked his assistant to arrange for his family to leave Ukraine for Spain or somewhere warm.
US intelligence told him Russia will invade Ukraine after the Beijing Olympics, ie, Feb. 22.
How does US intelligence know? Well, if Putin doesn't start a war, US will cause him to start. US desperately needs a war to save its economy. To curb the rampant inflation,
US must raise interest rate. However, raising interest rate might cause the US stock market to crash. What to do? A war will solve the problem. Influx of hundreds of billions of US$ will prop up the stock market.
US wouldn't have accepted China or Russia striking a military alliance with Mexico, setting up military bases, putting in missiles there directed at the US. The Cuba missile crisis proved the uncompromising position of the US.
US is accusing Putin now for a natural reaction, something US would have done.
The US/Nato's aggressive expansion is the cause of the current war. US aggression isn't limited to the Nato expansion. Actually, ever since 2014, Obama,
this black Faced with an even blacker heart (脸黑心更黑)president resumed US cold war strategy against Russia aiming to completely asphyxiate Russia.
Russia has been subject to more than 100 rounds of western sanctions since 2014, causing its economy to shrink 40%.
US fervently desired & provoked this war to organize massive capital flight from Europe to US to bail out its economy & save US$. US sanctions are so designed as not to hurt US interests.
China too won't accept western sanctions hurt China's interests.
China's position is very clear. Business as usual with Russia if not intensified. US is not in a position to give lessons to China on non-invasion and respect of sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Otherwise it would be too good to be true for the US.
One stone will kill three birds, weakening Russia, victimizing Europe and China having the US as the sole winner.
China has opened up its doors to Russian barley. China has a lot of mouths to feed. If nobody wants grains from Russia,
I invite you to read Putin's address yesterday. Forces are with him & Russia because truth & justice are on their side. US is the empire of lies. Do you know why Ukrainian army can't fight? Because they know they're not fighting for Ukraine,
The speech is a gem. US/West treated Russia exactly the same way it treats China. Same playbook. President Xi can do exactly the same speech before liberating Taiwan.
Highlights:
"Why is this happening? Where did this insolent manner of talking down from the height of their exceptionalism, infallibility and all-permissiveness come from? What is the explanation for this contemptuous and disdainful attitude to our interests
This is the response from a Swiss man to my tweet on Xinjiang local people buying gold jewelry. Judge for yourself if the response isn't stupid and nasty. Xinjiang is open to international tourism. There's reinforced security check due to decades of US/Nato backed terrorism.
Protecting people from terrorism Is called totalitarian surveillance. Surveillance in Xinjiang is the same as that practiced in airports.
Now China is attacked for training Uighurs as monkeys of consumption. I don't know about Swiss people. Is everyone so nasty and hateful?
Why those people worrying about human rights abuses in China are always so hateful and nasty? Shouldn't they be relieved to see Uighurs not suffering, not wallowing in poverty? Everytime I show good life of Uighurs, for haters, it's either "staged" or a new form of torture. Sick!
In answer to the British Defence secretary's pretension that UK will beat the Russians in Ukraine like during the Crimean war in 1854, Russia quipped. British debacle in the Crimean war gave rise to the expression "cannon fodder".
"It was this “feat” of the British in the Crimean War that enriched all world languages and military textbooks with the concept of “cannon fodder”. We recommend that British military personnel study well not only the geography of Russia, but also its history.
So as not to enrich our common military history with our lives for the sake of poorly educated British politicians, Konashenkov emphasized."
