It’s being reported Sen James Inhofe (F-OK), will retire prior to the end of his term. If he leaves at the end of this year he will still have 4 years left. During that 4 years, Oklahomans will be able to choose his replacem…what?…when?…oh…you guys…another wee OK🧵👇🏻
Oklahoma used to fill their vacant US Senate seats by a special election. That meant the people got to choose who would be their next senator in 9 months. They had a special election process which means people could run for the seat and they could earn the votes of the people.
SB959 for those who didn’t read it, the gist is it eliminates the special election and allows the Governor to fill the vacancy with the person of their choosing. The Governor of OK is Republican Kevin Stitt. (📌1. More on this monstrosity later👇🏻)
What this means is a Republican of Gov Stitt’s choosing will be in Inhofe’s seat for 4 years even if the people of Oklahoma do not want that. There are 37 states that do it this way but with various timings to hold elections. Why bother with elections, tho? It’s just democracy.
The timing of this is interesting too. The law was just changed last year. Why was it so important for Oklahoma to make this change? Did someone know of Inhofe’s decision to retire early? Why take away the vote? The spin was because it saved $4m dollars.
I guess $4m is too expensive for democracy. A billionaire just made $4m in the time it took you to read this sentence. Isn’t it the GOP telling us it is the Democrats who are eroding our freedoms? Silencing us? Taking away our rights to vote? In Oklahoma they did precisely that.
We’re always told to follow the money. We need to follow the power too. Let’s think about this completely differently now. Let’s look at the other end of the spectrum. Let’s look at a place where the Gov didn’t need the law to be changed to have the power to fill vacancies.
Kentucky’s Gov is a Democrat. I know, right? Andy Beshear is the Gov of Kentucky. The two US Senate seats are held by Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell. So if one of them were to retire, the Dems would pick up a seat because Gov Beshear would choose a Dem…wait…not so fast.
Let’s say the people of KY voted for Andy Beshear because he’s a democrat and better represents them. They bestowed the powers of the Governor in him and entrusted him to select a qualified candidate for the US senate should a vacancy occur.
I mean, if Rand Paul is ever questioned about what he knows in relation to Putin, Patrick Byrne, his grass clippings, he could be 14th out of the place. Tortoises live for like 150 years so I don’t know what Mitch would be worried about except that Mitch *was* worried.
So worried in fact, he helped to change the law in Kentucky to *strip* the powers of the Governor to no longer allow them to fill vacancies. Enter Kentucky’s SB228.
We can see them giving the Republican Governor more powers in an effort to retain power in one state and removing powers from a Democratic Governor so the republicans can retain power in another.
They are only serving themselves. Each of these law changes cuts the voters out.
These actions illustrate how it doesn’t matter to these republicans what they do or how they do it so long as they retain power and remove the voter from the equation.
I cannot stress enough to you the importance of the 2022 elections. Please confirm you are registered and vote.
📌1 was about Governor Kevin Stitt. He along with other officials from Oklahoma appear on the ‘path to trump’ whiteboard. That board needs to be understood. We need to watch very closely what comes of Inhofe’s departure.
This Clarence and Ginni Thomas story is pretty important. I know I’m stating the obvious, but I do so to make sure people who don’t know it’s obvious, know its importance. CJ John Roberts has a real problem he needs to deal with here. A wee SCOTUS 🧵👇🏻
Ginni Thomas has been all in on the CNP / Libertarian / general 💩show we’re in now, since forever. She and Amy Kremer (📌1) are OG. We know there has been planning, lies planted about a stolen election. There’s been an Insurrection, we know there was a seditious conspiracy.
We know that Sidney Powell was relying on Justice Alito to enjoin the Electoral Count Act as a result of one of her Defending the Republic Cases. The Louie Gohmert et al (read fraud elector) v Mike Pence.
Sen Rick Scott (F-FL) wants ‘the American people’ to know what the GOP stands for and will *provide* to them. Let’s take a look at his 11 point plan to Rescue America. Be warned, I might swear a little in this one. A wee 🧵👇🏻
Point 1 - Indoctrination.
Scott says kids will say the pledge of allegiance in schools. How about we have some GOP Senators actually live up to that pledge and not be spreading Russian deza after spending the 4th of July in Moscow? Hey Rick, go talk to Ron Johnson.
Point 2 - Uniformity.
Eliminating people’s identity is not a governing policy. Stripping people of their very being after indoctrinating them into what you want them to be is a form of control. What’s next? Everyone wears the same clothing? A blue suit, red tie, white shirt?
“The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself.” - FDR
I never understood this. I find it strange that I think I am starting to get it on President’s Day. It’s time for another wee psyops 🧵👇🏻
President Roosevelt was inaugurated in 1933 and in his speech he said those famous words. The country was in the midst of the Great Depression. The stock market crashed in 1929 and things here were awful.
Listen to that speech as you read this.
He describes a country beset by high taxes, low value and little ability to pay for things. Sounds like inflation, huh? The savings of many years of many families are gone. Today, we find ourselves in a similar situation. Our Great Depression caused by death.
I was curious to see if anyone filed Amicus Curiae briefs in Kraken cases. From what I gather that means a ‘friend of the court’ brief where someone, not a party to the case, can ask the court to let them have their say about it because they want to be helpful. Ugh…they did👇🏻🤦🏼♂️
First up our friends from Alabama. They sent us Mo Brooks. You may remember Mo Brooks from such rally’s as the January 6th Insurrection. Alabama wanted to help the Kraken so let’s see who filed the Amicus brief. Let’s see, says here…Roy Moore. Ok. Wait *THAT* Roy Moore?👀
Yup. The same Roy Moore that pointed a gun during one of his rallies and won’t be going to any Alabama malls, who almost became a Senator, Roy Moore. He joined the Kraken case to help trump overturn an election. Alabama filed in the Pennsylvania case. supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/20/2…
On January 15th, 2021 Mike Lindell had a meeting at the White House that was not on the presidents daily schedule. I somehow doubt it was about pillows. Remember this photo?
That photo when enhanced shows the text of what was on the papers he was holding. This was definitely not about pillows. Why is Mike Pillows meeting with trump in WH to discuss issues of national security (and the election)? Let’s see what we can see when we look at it closer.
The title appears to include ‘TAKEN IMMEDIATELY TO SAVE THE’ then it continues but we can’t see it.
Then ‘THE CONSTITUTION’
Some may speculate to even say it says something along the lines of ‘BE TAKEN IMMEDIATELY TO SAVE THE’ in which case, this document is meant to be advisory.
In Nov 2011, Janice Daniels, founder of the Troy Tea Party was elected Mayor of Troy, Michigan. In 2012, she was recalled. Disgraced, she was rightfully thrown out of MI politics forever. THE END…not quite
What became of Janice? Well, of course she is now the communications director of a✌🏻grassroots effort ✌🏻in Michigan called Election Integrity Force. I know it’s early in the thread, but I want to remind you that one of the three words in Election Integrity Force is Integrity.
On October 12, 2021, the Election Integrity Fund & Force (📌1) was a proud sponsor of a rally at the Michigan Capitol. That rally was to demand an audit of the 2020 election, about eleven months after it was over.
