-Russia has more military resources but is an invader, Ukrainians have more motivation to fight and win.
-Putin has lost all international support that matters and even China is now hesitant.
-Anti NATO Putin campaign is backfiring, Finland and Sweden now want to join.
-in spite of Brexit, UK is acting in close coordination with EU, Europe is united against Putin.
-EU citizens had lost faith in the EU, Putin helps unite the continent against him.
-while Putin and Xi share political interests to preserve tyrannies, their economic interests differ. Putin wants oil and gas prices up and is helped by war, Xi wants them down.
-nuclear superiority is useless in urban warfare and that is where Ukraine will take Russia.
-bombing civilian targets has turned Putin into a war criminal joining the ranks of Qaddafi, Saddam Hussein and others.
-Europe's The Hague court will be relentless and go after Putin for the rest of his life in power or out of power.
-Ukraine and Russia are brotherly nations, one is defending its home, the other one invading. Having the moral high ground in a war is extremely important.
-Zelensky is Jewish, Putin's constant accusation that Zelensky is a nazi makes him look weaker and more desperate.
-the threat of nuclear attack coming from Putin has to be taken seriously and Ukraine is not part of NATO. But NATO countries are 100% with Ukraine and will be able to send financial help to Ukraine. Militarily, Russia spends $70bn a year and NATO $900bn. natowatch.org/newsbriefs/201…
-Thanks to fracking USA has tremendous gas reserves now and can ship them to Europe. Putin runs a gas station of a nation but Europe willingness to buy has gone way down.
-there is a possibility that volunteers from neighboring nations will volunteer to fight with Ukraine.
-Syrian refugees were mostly men and Assad won. But in Ukraine refugees are mostly women and children and the men are staying to fight.
-Zelensky and Klitscko are inspiring leaders willing to fight to death, that inspires Ukrainians.
-while NATO can't bring armies to help Ukraine and Russia is bringing a gigantic army in the attack NATO has better weapons, like air defense systems and they are providing them to Ukraine.
-Russia doesn't make key components of the arms race, like chips, nor consumer goods.
-Putin has been able to amass a $600bn war chest thanks mainly to Germany and Italy buying an enormous amount of its gas, and Europe in general buying its oil. But the invasion already triggered a plan to cut off that dependence washingtonpost.com/climate-enviro…

In raising kids the biggest enemy is tablets and smartphones. They come in handy for road and airplane trips but they stand on the way of crafts, physical exercise, playing musical instruments, doing art. Digital makes kids find physical"boring".
As a father of 7 I have seen this challenge worsen. With the older kids it was video consoles and that was much easier to control with time limits. But iPads for example are given by schools and it's hard to know what kids are doing. Smartphones can be communication or games.
And I don't blame kids because once they have the iPads to tell them not to play games is like taking a child to the ice cream store and telling him you can't have ice cream. It is there! The school that my kids go to has just come up with a very strict policy.
The flu, mumps, rubella vaccines are live attenuated vaccines en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attenuate… the Chinese went for this type of vaccine against Sars Cov 2. Western companies instead went for inactivated vaccines, 1/ genetic vaccines like Moderna or Pfizer, 2/ viral vector vaccines
like Johnson and Johnson or AstraZeneca or 3/ protein based vaccines like Novavax.
But in the case of Covid, the most obvious candidate to work with for the vaccine is the live attenuated Chinese vaccine of Sinopharm that is approved in UAE and China already.
Western companies have a perverse incentive (and yes I am a big fan of capitalism but sometimes it doesn't work) because they want IP around the vaccine technology and the attenuated live vaccine technology has been around for too long to be patented.
Madrid 2500 casos diarios, Berlin 70 y bien trazados.
