Today Ukraine reported about 3500 Russian soldiers killed in action since Feb. 24 and asked the Red Cross to pursue Russia to get the corpses out of Ukraine. Russian Defense Ministry refuses to reveal the number of casualties. 👇
I think the number is believable, considering the fact that Ukrainians post numerous videos showing Russian corpses and burnt war machines. As well as videos of prisoners of war from Russia. And the main thing here is Kazakhstan's denial to fulfill Putin's request to join war
And also Russians limited Facebook in their country.
To be fair our ministry also does not disclose the number of combat casualties from our side. And considering the fact that there's a mobilization of everyone I guess the number might be as dreadful if not bigger.

Today it's been 8 ys Ukraine got rid of pro-Russian puppet dictator Yanukovych. I witnessed EuroMaidan, and I remember that after the first deaths of activists, after a fire in Trade Union House, it was not a peaceful protest anymore. Thread⬇️
I remember the EuroMaidan self-defense forces, who were coordinated by some retired officers of the Soviet army, by UNA UNSO. I remember the smell. I remember that I was scared for them as most had only some sticks from shovels, shields they stole from Berkut, and Molotovs⬇️
They were very different. Some of them brought guns and Medieval weapons from some cosplay, others had chains. Right Sector seemed scary and suspicious until you offer them a tangerine. ⬇️

Peskov once said: "I don't believe someone would create fake news around the death of a child". Yet Russia has created fake news about the deaths of numerous children. Seeing the videos of Ukrainian orphans being used for Russian false flag operation against Ukraine angers me⬇️
Ukrainians have not made any attempts to seize Donetsk by force just because we already know that filthy Russian soldiers and their proxies hide behind the backs of Ukrainians trapped on uncontrolled territories.
Those are our people. We want them to be in Ukraine. We lost so many lives of Ukrainians to Russia. As a journalist, I observe this shitshow and report. As a Ukrainian, I understand what are they trying to achieve.⬇️

My 76 yo granny said today: "If Russians start bombing Kyiv, do not rush to evacuate me, save yourself and your dog. I am a cat, I won't leave my apartment. I love it. I decorated it and I would rather die in my wonderful home than in some nasty neglected basement"
I wish you would never hear the same from your granny, born in 1945. right after WWII. It is 21 century. Russians do nothing to stop their government, most of them support this.
Now that the US is reporting that Putin made a desicion to invade Ukraine, I can't take it anymore. I understand that this can be the deterring tactics. But it is already impossible to live like that. All we have now is work, covid outbreak, and Russian invasion.

Russian failed politician and TV host Ksenia Sobchak has said "What we see today is Russia fighting against the US and Ukraine is a hostage".This claim from Sobchak triggered me. Only 5 percent of Russians blame their own government for fueling the war in Ukraine. So. Thread⬇️
Sobchak calls Ukraine and Russia "brotherly nations", at the same time says "Not a single Russian politician would return Crimea to Ukraine, as it would be a political suicide". Hints America fuels and provokes. ⬇️
This is a common position among many Russians, even those, calling themselves liberal. "If you don't want war, why does the West keep supplying weapons to Ukraine?" - this phrase makes me vicious. Why?⬇️

Here are some basic facts that might help in Ukraine coverage. Thread:
1. Russia's war against Ukraine. Not Ukraine conflict, or Ukraine crisis. Why? Because Russia occupied Crimea in 2014 and has been supporting its proxies in the Donbas-Russian passports holders⬇️
2. Russia claims it is not part of the conflict. Russia lies. Even the Russian court in Rostov recently accidentally revealed Russia's military presence in Donbas. Before that Russian soldiers were "guarding" illegal referendum in Crimea.⬇️
3. Russian-controlled areas of Donbas, not Rebel-held or separatist-held areas. Because those people do not fight for independence, they want to become a part of Russia.⬇️
