WOW - Ulysses S. Grant nailed it: “The dividing line will not be Masons and Dixons, but between patriotism and intelligence on the one side and superstition, ambition and ignorance on the other.”
I would add corruption, avarice, greed and zealotry to the nefarious side of the equation. (Of course the usage of the word "ambition" was intended to capture some of these traits.)

Mitch McConnell will intentionally let the United States default in order to advance his partisan agenda. He really is one of the worst senators in our republic's history.
His motto: power above all.
When the market goes into a tail spin, assets lose value, and inflation accelerates, it will be because of his partisan maneuver.

George Washington kicked officers out of the army if they refused to get inoculated against small pox. It was a key decision that helped our country defeat the British. Vaccination is a patriotic duty - to protect our spouses, children, parents, siblings, and friends.
Take your "Don't Tread On Me" flags and read a book you imbeciles.
I am positive that the "autodidact" and "historian," @CawthornforNC, will be surprised to learn this bit of American history.

FACTS - Never forget that Donald Trump negotiated an agreement with the Taliban to withdraw all U.S. forces by May 1, 2021.
And he tweeted in October 2020: “We should have the small remaining number of our BRAVE Men and Women serving in Afghanistan home by Christmas!”
Donald Trump ignored the professionals and negotiated an exit agreement with the TALIBAN! In other words, the “author” of the book, “The Art of the Deal,” thought the Taliban would honor a contract.

Let me be clear: in the GOP's perfect world, the middle class suffers; our infrastructure crumbles; Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid are terminated; corporate taxes are lowered even further; billionaires profit; and only wealthy white voters have the right to vote.
The GOP also wants to undermine public education, make Christianity the national religion, discriminate against the LGBTQ community, regulate women's bodies, and ignore the existential climate crisis.
I am so damn tired of the GOP's hypocrisy and corruption. We have serious problems to solve. And we are capable of doing so. But the GOP's never-ending obstruction constantly puts us behind the eight-ball.
