For all of you who think there was something strategic about @elonmusk buying Twitter, it was simply hubris. He made a brag, got suckered into making a legally binding offer, tried to back out of it, and got forced to follow through due to litigation. #Genius
After he was forced to follow through on his promise to buy, he trial ballooned a bunch of dumb "mandatory" pay features, like the blue check, which many steadfastly refused to even humor in a hilarious public manner. Musk then tried to haggle the price of the check mark.

@elonmusk As more and more people started abandoning Twitter, Musk censored any link to Mastodon. After that, he announced that access to the API would also have a new pay structure, which resulted in a number of app developers that people liked completely abandoning the platform.

If you want to look back at the true turning point for the USA, it was the failure of @BarackObama to hold torturers, war criminals and wall street fraudsters accountable, all while he let others suffer or prosecuted them for lesser offenses. Hollywood bullsh*t is a distraction.
@BarackObama It's embarrassing that his camp has embraced criminal George W. Bush as sane or moderate in comparison to Trump. The Truth is that both Bush and Obama enabled Trumpism. Either could have stopped it. Bush did it through embracing extremists. Obama did it by failing to prosecute.
@BarackObama The threat of fascism is the rot of the Republican and Democratic parties, who have made it abundantly clear that, outside of re-election and holding power, they simply don't give a f*ck about you. Selling out to authoritarians and fascists in response is stupid, but predictable.
