1st, the more obvious rebuttal: "extend into space" does not mean X-Wings & Death Stars.
This is about hacking satellite functions & manipulating data.
Better case scenario, GPS tracking is screwed with and packages get lost. Think, DeJoy on a global scale.
Boxes lost. Ships wildly off course. Starbucks forever ahead on your left.
A more dire scenario is basically Die Hard 2 with the hard deck recalibrated or mountain ranges just a wee bit on the inside.

We stand on the edge of an awful page of history, witness to its author dipping pen in blood. So few alive today remember the horrors of the last global war.
83 years ago, Poland was invaded by an emboldened dictator. 2022, it's Ukraine.
We will see further supply line interruptions & fuel prices will likely increase. We can hope that opportunistic corporations will resist the urge to artificially raise prices on Americans in the name of profiteering.
The eyes of the world will look to America for guidance & leadership. We are hyper polarized but this is bigger than Red v Blue. We must say, as a nation, that independence from tyranny is a country's inalienable right.

I keep seeing anti-vaxxers say that "only 2% die" of Covid.
McDonald's serves 69 million people per day. If 1,380,000 died afterwards, would the odds still be favorable enough to keep eating there?

That's what I thought. Get the damn shot.
The risks associated with COVID are not binary: live or die. There are often long term effects - from decreased lung capacity to erectile disfunction to cognitive impairment. There is no cure for these post-Covid issues.

The Civil War remains the deadliest war in US history, taking more than 650,000 Americans’ lives, which was around 2.1 percent of the population at the time.
Only 2% of the population was killed in the Civil War but having another one doesn't seem healthy.

I always dread 9/11.
My mind's eye still sees everything as it played out that terrible day. The fear that filled the air across the nation. How the skies were suddenly devoid of planes. Seeing the images of desperate people looking for their missing people. 1/x
I can still hear the sirens behind the frantic reporters. They were as scared as we all were and no one shouted Fake News at their televisions.
We were all bonded together by an unspeakable tragedy that played out again and again and again and again. 2/x
We didn't know why or who. We didn't know what 9/12 would bring. We only knew that the people around us, our friends and neighbors, were our band of brothers now. That we'd work together to help, to console and protect.

Micro targeting ads on social media may seem obvious to you but consider this:
How often on Facebook do you see a post from a family member that says: "I didn't send that. I was hacked."
They weren't.

They aren't savvy enough to know not to click on that pie in the sky link and got phished or acquired a virus.
Those same clickers are being bombarded by targeted ads that are at best deceptive and at usual, false.
Additionally, most Facebook users didn't grow up with the internet and don't understand or accept that the internet contains intentionally misleading, fake, & malicious data sites, including generic reporting blogs tailored to attract clicks for revenue.
