2. Trouble started in January when, at a Senate hearing, history teacher Matt Bockenfeld objected to a provision requiring him to be "impartial" about all subjects.
He said he was teaching about the rise of Nazism and would not be neutral about Nazis
3. Senator @ScottABaldwin, the bill's author, told Bockenfeld he needed to be "impartial" when teaching Nazism and shouldn't "take a position" on Nazis.
Outrage ensued and the committee canceled their vote.

6. On February 7, popular.info reported that Huston, in addition to his role as speaker, was paid 460K by the College Board.

7. On February 8, the College Board announced it was parting ways with Huston. The story was picked up by the Indianapolis Star and further tainted the legislative effort.
8. Still, the bill was not dead. A Senate committee took up the bill again. To try to defuse public opposition, it watered down the bill significantly. But 200 people showed up to speak a hearing about the bill.
9. The Senate committee approved the bill by a vote of 8-5. But the bill was left with little support in the Indiana Senate. Some Republicans still thought it went too far. Others thought it now didn't go far enough.

The protest was PRE-APPROVED by the school, which allowed the students 15 minutes. Administrators first threatened to discipline students who didn’t hand over the pride flags. Then they tried to end the protest after 7 minutes.
UPDATE: Last June, @kroger CEO Rodney McMullin said that "a little bit of inflation is always good in our business" and imposed a series of price hikes.
McMullin was right.
