Is YouTube dying? I don’t think so.

If I had to suggest ONE platform for someone to start posting on in 2022, it’d be YouTube.

Want to why?
Some stats to start off:

- Over 2.3 billion people worldwide use YouTube once a month.
- More than a billion hours of content is consumed on YouTube every single day.
- YouTube is the second most used social media platform (after Facebook)
It’s been around for less than 2 decades, but for any website, that’s a long time.

Even if another platform like TikTok amasses millions of users, it’ll still have to build the credibility that YouTube has built up since 2005 and continues to build into 2022.
More people are joining YouTube every year, and more people are spending money on the platform...including advertisers:

- In 2020, the biggest advertiser on YouTube was Apple who spent $237.15 million.
- YouTube generated $19.7 billion in revenue as of January 2021.
So YouTube’s still growing and probably isn’t going anywhere.

And you’re not too late to start.

Some students who took my course less than a year ago have now got over 100k subscribers...
There’s always space for new creators if you can create valuable content that people want to watch.

But what makes YouTube better than TikTok or Instagram? To be honest, those are great platforms too but YouTube does have specific benefits...
...including:

-A global audience 👥

-A refined algorithm that promotes your content 📈

-An easy content management system 📒

-An ability to monetise more effectively 💰
And there’s more...

-Content works for you after you’ve recorded it 💪

-Your videos can be repurposed for other things 🎮

-The opportunity to collaborate with other YouTubers 🤗

-The opportunity to work with your favourite brands 👀

I earn ~$27k per week through passive income 💸

So that means I don’t have to do anything, right? Not exactly.

Here’s how I got started 👇
WARNING: ‘Get rich quick’ schemes don’t exist.

It’s taken me 8+ years to make this much 🪙

Just food for thought.
1 - Investing in stocks + shares 📈

This is one of the easiest ways to generate passive income, but it does rely on:

💵 The amount of savings you have

When you’ve got a solid set of data, YouTube Studio gets complicated pretty quickly.

There’s so much to look at and it’s so easy to get obsessed with the numbers.

But I’ve found only three metrics really matter 👇
I’ve worked with a handful of YouTube coaches over the last couple of years but everything always really comes back to the same three metrics:

📱 Click-Through Rate

🗺️ Audience Retention

😄 Returning + Unique Viewers
1 - 📱 Click-Through Rate (CTR)
YouTube measures the % of clicks that come from the YouTube homepage, recommendation section or trending section.

What separates a good YouTube video from a great one? Structure.

There are four simple steps we can use to hook the viewer and keep them engaged throughout our video.

This is the HIVE framework 👇
The framework consists of 4 key parts:

🔗 Hook
✍️ Intro
💍 Value
🖥️ End Screen
1 - 🔗 Hook

The first 10 seconds of your video is KEY.

Average human attention span is now shorter than a goldfish so you’ve got to keep people engaged. (Source: Time)

In October 2020, I tweeted asking people what was stopping them from starting YouTube.

18 months later, that tweet’s generated $2.5 million for my business.

Here’s how an innocent question turned into a multi-million dollar course 🧵
After seeing all the benefits I’d got from having a YouTube channel, I’d always wondered what was stopping other people from starting?

It just seemed like such a no-brainer to me, why wouldn’t you just hit record?
So I sent this tweet to find out what you Twitter peeps were thinking.
