We’ve looked at substance use, symptoms of common mental disorder and personal well-being in adults who reported being a victim of crime in the last year.

This is based on findings from the Telephone-operated Crime Survey for England and Wales (TCSEW)⬇️

Approximately 1 in 15 (6.5%) adults aged 18 to 59 years and 1 in 7 (15.0%) adults aged 18 to 24 years had taken a drug in the previous year.
Cannabis was the most commonly taken drug in the last year (reported by 1 in 17 or 5.8% of adults aged 18 to 59 years).

Our latest #COVID19 data show those who reported having travelled abroad in the last 28 days continued to be more likely to test positive than those who had not in the fortnight up to 12 February 2022 ow.ly/O92z50I7NXB

This is likely because of the high infection levels in school children.

This was

▪️ 287 fewer deaths than the previous week
▪️ 6.3% below the five-year average (752 fewer deaths)

863 of all deaths registered in the week ending 18 Feb 2022 mentioned #COVID19 on the death certificate in England and Wales (7.7% of all deaths).

This was a decrease in the number of deaths from the previous week (1,066 deaths, 9.2% of all deaths).
In England, 814 deaths involving #COVID19 were registered in the week ending 18 Feb (compared with the 1,025 deaths registered the previous week).

In Wales, 47 deaths involving COVID-19 were registered in this week (compared with the 40 the previous week).
