The Nelson Mandela Foundation has added its voice to those urging the South African government to show leadership in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. #UkraineConflict
#UkraineConflict In a statement the foundation says its been closely monitoring the ongoing conflict which has now entered its tenth day – with hundreds of people killed and thousands displaced.
#UkraineConflict The foundation says it’s imperative that channels for peacemaking, negotiation and dialogue be pursued urgently and relentlessly.

It has condemned reports of racial discrimination against those trying to flee the conflict.

We are back in the Johannesburg high court where #NtuthukoShoba's lawyers are applying to reopen their case. They have set up a screen on the witness stand to allow for a video of #TshegofatsoPule leaving Shoba's complex to be seen. @motso_modise
Acting judge Wilson has granted this application. The court is now setting the video up.

The men will not be applying for bail.
Their lawyers have also flagged that the men are being kept at a prison in Pretoria instead of The Johannesburg prison as initially agreed. #rosettenville
The state tells the court that the reason why they were moved is because of the renovations at the Johannesburg prison. The head of the prison felt it would not be safe to keep the men there. @motso_modise
